A short time ago, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson left Georgia for Colorado. In the season finale of Mama June: Family Crisis, she learned that she had been accepted to Regis University. This was a college that she really wanted to attend due to its amazing neonatal nursing program. However, she knew that it would be hard to say goodbye to her family and she also did not know what would happen with her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell. When her sister, Pumpkin, and her mother found out, they flipped. They were so upset that she would be going so far away but she reminded them she wasn’t staying in Georgia forever.
Honey Boo Boo finally flew the coop and Pumpkin was devastated. She even made a video, saying goodbye to her sister, then watching her drive away. Yes, Dralin did come with her to Colorado as they found off-campus housing. Though Alana did get a 21K scholarship at the school, it appears that she still needs to find a way to make money. She recently posted to her Instagram stories that she is selling a blue and red Nintendo Switch.
Apparently, it is pretty new and barely used as she says in the description. It is alleged to have been used twice with most pieces still wrapped up. She would prefer to meet someone in the Colorado area but is willing to ship but that will cost extra. To own a piece of something that Alana once used might be priceless for some people. Yet, why is she selling off her expensive items so soon after moving away to school? Are she and Dralin struggling financially?
Child Support, Filming, & Endorsements
Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson does not turn eighteen until the end of August. Therefore, since she no longer lives with Pumpkin, she should be getting the $800/month in child support. Mama June is supposed to pay this until Alana’s birthday. Plus, Alana has opened herself up to endorsement deals. She told followers that she will support legitimate small businesses so that should bring in some money. Finally, Pumpkin stated that they are filming again. If Alana’s final days at home and move to college were filmed, she should have money from that, as well.
