Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Sobs As She Says Goodbye For Good
The season finale of Mama June: Family Crisis was a rollercoaster of emotions. June’s four daughters all traveled down to Florida to walk her down the aisle for her vow renewal. They all celebrated and had an amazing time, mostly realizing that she had found her soul mate in Justin Stroud. Unfortunately, at the very end, it was revealed that June’s eldest daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell had been diagnosed with cancer. That turned everyone’s world upside down. Along with all of that, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson learned that she had gotten into college.
However, it was not a local school but rather in Colorado which turned Mama June and Pumpkin’s world upside down. Though Alana had a lot of nerves about leaving Georgia, she also knew this school was perfect for her. More so, she wants to be a neonatal nurse and Regis University has an amazing program. Plus, she got a 21K scholarship for the college so she started to look for a place to live off-campus. Sadly, the time had come for her to exit Georgia and embark on her new journey.

Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird showed the day that she said goodbye to Alana and she was heartbroken. She shared the video on TikTok starting with her in the car. Then, she showed Alana hugging her niece and nephew goodbye followed by Pumpkin. They both tried not to cry but the tears started to come. Soon enough, Alana got into her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell’s purple car with their dog and they headed on their journey.
Fans Are Heartbroken
After fans saw Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird’s post about Honey Boo Boo leaving, they were immediately heartbroken for her. Yet, they also praised the mother of four: “You raised her right. your such an amazing woman.” Another added: “We will take very good care of her here in Colorado. she’s destined for great things!” Mama June did not seem to be present for this goodbye but they may have had a family party that was filmed beforehand.

First off Lauryn you did a awesome job raising Alannah. Kudos to you. I am so happy for Alannah. The only thing I disagreed with was Lauryn letting Alannah date someone that was clearly a adult. I am happy because Alannah can get away from June’s BS. Alannah you go girl. I wish you the very best in all the new steps and journeys your about to take.

Pumpkin and Alana have been through so much in their lifetime that they deserve peace. Pumpkin and Josh stepped up as adults. They were there when their mom left. They are truly good parents.
Alana going off to school is wonderful. She is smart and will make a wonderful nurse.
I do wish through that her boyfriend wasn’t going with her only because that could be a distraction to her studies and I think she need to be on her own for a while. I think she needs that independence for a bit.
I agree. Happy for her but boyfriend should have stayed behind or gone to college himself. Maybe that is their plan. For him to enroll too
