Pumpkin Confirms Mama June Family Crisis Filming New Season

One very excited fan of Mama June Family Crisis took to Reddit to reveal that they did not have a screen record of it, but they did clock Mama June and Pumpkin spilling the tea on the future of the show during a recent live stream.

Painting a picture for other fans, the individual explained that Mama June went live over the weekend while getting ready for a wedding. This fan admitted they aren’t sure why Mama June Shannon went live as she completely ignored the individuals watching the stream. Mama June reportedly texted on her phone and did other things, but didn’t engage with her live stream chat at all.

While she was still live, Mama June reportedly got a phone call from Pumpkin. Mama June proceeded to ask Pumpkin if they were filming right now.

And it was quite obvious that she knew she messed up and it wasn’t just a slip. They are 100% filming for a new season rn.”

The fan went on to speculate that Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s current battle with cancer will likely be a focus point for the new season even if Anna refuses to film.

The fan continued: “I tried to ask a question about it and Justin’s obvious drug use but a mod warned me and then I asked what a warning was and that they obviously are still on drugs and I was muted.”

The OP concluded their post by questioning why it needed to be a “huge secret” that they were filming a new season.

In the comments, the OP did clarify to a few different fans it was Mama June that asked Pumpkin if they were filming.

Filming Doesn’t Mean Renewed?

Amy Roloff of TLC’s LPBW once told fans that filming with a network doesn’t necessarily mean the show has been renewed. Moreover, she explained that as cast members the network doesn’t tell them anything about a new season. In fact, she insisted they only really learn about new seasons shortly before fans do. Now, Mama June Family Crisis isn’t on the same network as Amy Roloff. But, it is possible reality TV works similarly across the board.

In the comments on the Reddit thread, fans admit it is “gross” they are using Anna to push the series along. Others speculate the series may spin off to focus on Alana’s college life.
