Mike Wolfe Preparing For ‘American Pickers’ Cancellation?
Mike Wolfe is preparing for the impending American Pickers cancellation. It’s no longer the hottest show on the History Channel. He has yet another new project on the horizon. Mike just announced that he’s selling antique cars and vintage trailers. It looks like the cast member wants to keep as many eggs in his basket. Keep on reading to learn more.
Is the History Channel canceling American Pickers?
American Pickers continues its steep decline in the ratings. It started strong on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. The March 8 episode only attracted 844,000 viewers. Mike Wolfe promoted it on social media. He shared clips of himself visiting the Packard Plant in Michigan.
However, it didn’t work. His plans exploded in his face. Yet, it was still up from the previous week which amassed 711,000 viewers. The show has been up and down since History Channel fired fan-favorite Frank Fritz. Viewers demanded to boycott the series, which has worked well in their favor and shown in the ratings.
Mike Wolfe’s brother Robbie replaced Frank. Fans still haven’t warmed up to him. They think he’s too “boring” for the series. Unfortunately, Frank will not be returning to American Pickers since he suffered a stroke in July 2022.
Meanwhile, rumors that the Mike Wolfe-helmed series could face cancellation if it doesn’t pick up viewership. He’s been enjoying time outside of the series. Mike has also focused on antiquing outside the show. Some fans fear that American Pickers will be no more on History Channel.
Mike Wolfe announces new venture
Mike Wolfe has another venture. He took to social media to share the news with his fans. The reality star announced that he was collaborating with the Tennessee board to create a green space in a location that was previously occupied by a gas station.
On Tuesday, April 4, Mike posted two shots of the area on his Instagram feed. It featured a white building that was situated behind a black gate. There were also perfectly manscaped bushes and trees with pink flowers blooming. Visitors sat outdoors and enjoyed the area.
“The Buidling [sic] itself is only 900 SQR feet,” Mike Wolfe explained in his Instagram post. “The outdoor space will give more room to the future business and create a invitingĀ [sic] outdoor experience. These old Gas stations and Car dealerships matter.”
Fans took to the comment section to react. Most of them were on board with his new project. They’re excited to see what will come from it. Others wished Mike Wolfe well on his new venture.

I look forward to my favorite (your) program returning. I really miss it. My dad was an antique car guy & took me barn snooping in the 1950’s – I was hooked & have never got over the thrill finding new treasure. I Raced bicycles in the early 1960’s & rode the Velodrome in Penrose Park, North St.Louis. I have owned wonderful sports cars & European Motorcycles. I am now 76 & still interested in all the things I love & know about. The Pickers gave me the vicarious thrill of the hunt on a level I could never afford. I have several ideas about merchandising some of the graphic art items collected. Feel free to contact me if there is anything I can do to enable your return.
Best Wishes, Craig
