Fans catch Mike Wolfe selling junk cars

While it’s common for most people to sell junk cars, they never mark them up to thousands of dollars. Fans called out Mike Wolfe for selling overpriced junk cars. He encouraged fans to purchase the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette that was featured on an episode of American Pickers last month.

Mike shared the video on his Instagram account. The former drag racing car was worse for wear. It had gray paint and rust on the exterior and interior. The vehicle also needed new wheels.

In his video, Mike Wolfe admitted they were trying to get rid of the vehicle. He said “the only real issue here” was the huge crack on the body. The History Channel series bought the car from a company in Pennsylvania. While it comes with additional tires, it needs a touch-up on the side.

“We are trying to sell this car,” Mike Wolfe told fans. “The car was just on the show less than a month ago. Just a really clean, old drag car that’s got some history.”

The asking price is $10,000. That was enough to spark outrage among fans. Some of them took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Fans slammed Mike Wolfe for selling overpriced junk. Others explained they know people who sell classic cars at more affordable prices.

  • “I sold my 57 for 375 and it was a nice car. Not a beat-up mess.”
  • “$10k is way too steep for something that doesn’t run and needs major bodywork.”
  • “What a POS. $2k is the most you can get to use it as a flower pot.”
  • “That needs a lot!!!!”
  • Why does a corvette look bare metalā€¦ how šŸ¤£

American Pickers ratings hit a new low

Mike Wolfe has also encouraged fans to watch the new episodes of American Pickers. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out in his favor. While the Season 24 premiere started off strong, the Wednesday, March 1 episode only had 711,000 viewers. Fans took to social media again to demand fan-favorite Frank Fritz to return.

  • “American Pickers without Frank is like… hmm watching the Patriots without Brady. Kinda sucks.”
  • “How’s Frank doing?”
  • “Bring back Frank. We miss him.”
  • “It’s a New Year! Bring Frank back! Please!”

The show can’t bring Frank back since he’s under a conservatorship. He suffered a massive stroke in July 2022 that left him in a debilitating condition. He was fired after he recovered from grueling back surgery. American Pickers features Mike Wolfe, Robbie Wolfe, and Danielle Colby.
