Mike Wolfe has a new side project

It’s no surprise that he’s taken up an interest in selling antique trailers. Mike Wolfe started American Pickers with original cast members Frank Fritz and Danielle Colby because of their love for antiques. On Friday, March 31, Mike posted several photos of a vintage trailer on his Instagram feed.

The first photo featured a dark green antique trailer inside a warehouse. It had rust and chipping wood throughout the design. You could also see the white curtains in the windows. In the next photo, Mike shot a photo of the inside of the camper, which was renovated into a lovely little room.

There was a long white curtain, which offers privacy while sleeping. There was a bed next to the window that looked outside. The quaint bedroom also had a closet with a lamp on top of it. The next few shots showed the other areas inside the camper. There was a place to read and cook a meal.

However, this trailer still needs a lot of work. In his Instagram post, Mike Wolfe shared that it appeared on American Pickers and was available for sale. By the time of this writing, it sold for $20,000. Fans took to the comment section to react. Some of them were thirsty at best.

Mike Wolfe also uploaded a clip of the trailer. He took fans for a little tour. It also has a folding table, sink, and stove. In his clip, Mike included the song “King of the Road” by Roger Miller. Fans thanked Mike for the tour, while others praised his song choice.

American Pickers ratings plummet

The History Channel star’s new side hustle comes as the ratings for American Pickers continue to plummet. It has hit a new season low. The long-running series returned on January 4, 2023. It moved from its original timeslot on Saturdays to Wednesdays.

At first, the Mike Wolfe-helmed show started strong with 943,000 viewers. Ratings continued on a steep decline soon thereafter. The Wednesday, March 1 episode only had 711,000 viewers. Mike is doing whatever he can to attract fans back to the show, even if that means selling some of the finds featured on the series.
