Yellowstone fans who attended PaleyFest were in for a huge shock. Those fans who thought they were going to see Kevin Costner, Taylor Sheridan, and all the top stars from their favorite Paramount series found out that they were a no-show.

What happened and what did fans have to say?

Yellowstone Cast Bails On Fans At High-Priced PaleyFest Event

Saturday may have been April Fool’s Day, but Yellowstone fans were not laughing. They paid upwards of $300 to attend PaleyFest where the Paramount series A-team was to be at the Hollywood venue. Yet, it turns out that the joke was on them.

First, fans saw the Season 5 episode, “The Dream Is Not Me.” Next, the panel with a bevy of the show’s stars was set to panel an intimate Q&A.

According to Deadline, Kevin Costner (John Dutton), Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton), Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler), Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton), Kelsey Asbille (Monica Long), Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton), Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater), and Jacki Weaver (Caroline Warner), as well as showrunner Taylor Sheridan and executive producer David Glasser were all set to appear. The list also mentioned, “additional guests to be announced.”

However, not one of these stars appeared.

Instead, Mo Brings Plenty (Mo), Dawn Olivieri (Sarah Atwood), Josh Lucas (young John Dutton), and Wendy Monitz (Lynette Perry), as well as Keith Cox, President of Scripted at MTV Entertainment Studios, showed up as the panel.

There was no indication that Costner and the rest of the leads would not appear until it was time for the panel to appear. The publication reports that there were “audible gasps” from attendees, as well as audience members yelling, “where are they?”

But, the fans were very gracious to the stars, and one executive who came to see the audience. Josh Lucas in particular “charmed the crowd.” Moreover, Cox was the one who had to answer the inevitable question of whether or not Kevin Costner was returning. He voiced that he was “confident” that Costner, who is a star and an executive producer, would return to the set.

Attendees Called The No-Shows A ‘Disgrace’ & Asked For Refunds

Disappointed Yellowstone Fans who attended have been posting in comments and on social media that they want a refund. Many contend that one or two attendees may have a scheduling conflict, but when everyone listed is a no-show, it is very suspect.

Besides the high price of the ticket, many fans spent a lot of money on travel and a hotel. For some, this was a one-time splurge.

On Twitter, one fan wrote, “I want a refund #PaleyFest #yellowstone utah to California with no main cast @DolbyTheatre Hollywood. The cost to fly out stay at a hotel and to eat was not worth the show. #Ineedtobecompt @Yellowstone #paleyfest I’m low income and I saved and work really hard to be here.”

No one can agree that this is how to treat loyal fans who have made this show number one. There does not seem to be a good reason why everyone announced was a no-show.

Yellowstone Fans Have Been Watching Drama Unfold

Yellowstone fans have had to endure a lot in the past few months. In January, Season 5, Part 1 ended with the promise to return with Part 2 in the Summer of 2023. However, in February, the news from the set revealed that nothing was happening anytime soon. That is because there was a standoff between creator Taylor Sheridan and Kevin Costner.

Paramount accused Costner of being available for only one week for the remaining six episodes. Meanwhile, the Costner camp has blamed Sheridan for having too many projects. This means late scripts and delayed filming.

Whatever the inner Yellowstone turmoil is, it now seems that their loyal fanbase is now very angry.

Yellowstone fans, what do you think of the no-shows? Let us know your thoughts.
