Former TLC Star Mady Gosselin SLAMS Her Family’s Critics
Mady Gosselin and her seven siblings grew up on TLC before viewers’ eyes. Their parents Jon and Kate Gosselin skyrocketed to fame after the birth of their sextuplets. Sadly, they later divorced.
The family has largely stayed out of the public eye over the last several years. However, some of the children have started to speak out now that they’re adults.
Reports indicate that some members of the family are now estranged from one another. But even so, it can’t be easy dealing with all the public scrutiny and the rumor mill. Now, Mady Gosselin is speaking up and clapping back at some of her family’s critics.
Mady Gosselin has had enough of internet critics
As of early 2023, Mady and her twin sister Cara are 22 years old while the sextuplets are 18. They’re all legal adults now, but they’re still trying to navigate the adult world. Negative stories about the family have made it incredibly hard for the former child stars to figure out adulthood. And now, Mady Gosselin is standing up to people who spew negativity about the family.
Mady uploaded a new TikTok this week to address one specific comment that implied the children were all damaged. She captioned the video, “i’ve been getting hate mail since i was 6 but that doesn’t mean you need to keep sending it. learn how to respect people’s boundaries and practice kindness. i bet your life will be so much more enjoyable because of it!”

“This is the singular time I’m going to address this because it is sending me over the edge,” Mady Gosselin said in the video. “The rhetoric in so many of my comments about childhood trauma and healing and whatever you want to say about my family, my life, my parents, whatever is not your business.”
The former child star went on to add that words matter and it all impacts the Gosselin children as adults.
“Perpetuating the narrative that we are damaged or that we are crazy child stars or whatever you want to say is extremely harmful as myself and my siblings are going out into the world and will be functioning members of society with careers,” she added. Mady concluded by asking people to just be kind on the internet.
The TLC star’s fans rally around her
Mady Gosselin hasn’t been on reality TV in years. But even so, it appears that she has many fans that want to see her succeed in life. Several people left positive words for Mady in the comments section.
“They feign concern about y’all being exploited as children yet they are lining up to exploit you as adults. Keep being you. You are doing great,” one fan wrote in the comments.
“I love how protective you are of your siblings!! Set those boundaries mady 👏🏼” another added.
