Gold Rush alum Rick Ness has had a bumpy 2022. Besides his absence from the Discovery show, he revealed some health issues. However, for a short while, it seemed that things were going great for his romantic life. He got engaged to his girlfriend Leese M Arie. However, that part of his life fell apart just a month later.
Now, it is 2023, and Rick Ness is sharing photos on his social media, and he is not single.

Rick Ness Shares His New Year’s Resolution, Photo With Someone Special
On Sunday, Rick Ness went to Facebook to wish his Gold Rush Team Rally fans a Happy New Year message. He also shared a cozy photo of him with Leese. Moreover, they sound solid and still engaged.
Although Rick admitted that he is not into new beginnings, he says that with the start of 2023, he is going for a fresh slate. He revealed that he is moving forward from the worries and the mistakes of the past year. He wants to chalk them up as part of life lessons.
I’m not much for little quips like “New Year, new beginning” but this year I’m gonna make an exception. Happy New Year from Leese and I, and let’s all get on with the business of making 2023 as big, successful, exciting and important, as we want it to be while we leave 2022 behind us in the dust, carrying nothing from it with us, except for lessons learned.
The photo is adorable. Standing in front of their Christmas tree, the couple is very close. Ness kisses Leese’s forehead, while she beams. She could not look happier. This is a great improvement from last month when Leese shared that she and Rick broke off their engagement.

In late October, Leese M Arie announced that she and Rick Ness got engaged. Then, in her TikTok post, she shared the Gold Rush star proposing to her. Finally, she showed off her engagement ring, while Ness showed off his gold “Suck It” ring. This post included Chris Stapleton’s song “Millionaire.”
Leese is family with fans of the Discovery series. She was part of Gold Rush Season 12 in a supporting role. However, Rick is not back for lucky number Season 13. That is because he has been dealing with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Therefore, he has not returned to the Klondike to lead Team Rally to mine for gold.
However, their loved-up bliss was short-lived. A month later, Leese returned to TikTok. This time to accuse Ness of cheating on her. She said that they were over.
However, in December, Rick went back to Facebook to apologize to her and admit he “screwed up just about everything you could screw up, believe me, and she continued to forgive me and stand with me. From ruining plans, holidays, and even worse stepping out on her, I’ve done the unforgivable, but she has continued to forgive me.”
Now, they are together and he has promised to do better.
