Is Pat Sajak & Vanna White Leaving ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Soon?
Long-time Wheel Of Fortune hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White might soon leave the game show. The hosting duo has been a part of the show since 1982. Although Wheel Of Fortune began in 1975, Sajak joined the team in 1981 followed by Vanna in 1982. It has been four decades since the duo has been hosting and it seems the long run might be coming to an end. Here is what the hosts feel about the possibility of leaving the show!
Wheel Of Fortune Pat Sajak Admits The End Is Close
In an interview with People, Vanna spoke about the show’s future without her and Sajak. The 65-year-old revealed that she struggles to imagine having to leave the show. She further added that the moment they leave would feel depressing. Back in September, even Pat admitted that they are close to the end of their stint on the show than the beginning.
He said, “I wouldn’t bet on seeing us in, like, 10 years, I would say.”

However, Vanna had a positive outlook about the future as she announced, “I just visualize us just being there. I can’t think beyond that.”
“I can’t imagine. Everybody relates Wheel Of Fortune to Pat and Vanna. We’re like Ken and Barbie, you know? We’ve been in everybody’s homes for 40 years, so it would be weird having somebody else turn my letters,” she added.
Pat Sajak And Vanna White Have Extended Their Contracts
The duo has already reportedly extended their contracts with the show until 2024. When asked about a possible retirement, Vanna remarked that she doesn’t want to think about that and stated that they are a team.
“That’s depressing. I don’t even want to think about it, “she said.

Earlier this week, the pair was overwhelmed after their game show stage was invaded by several Disney characters. This episode aired a few days after one player took too long to solve a puzzle causing Pat to drop on the floor out of boredom.
Vanna also detailed her relationship with Pat. She thinks she was picked by the makers for the hosting role with Sajak because of their brother-sister type relationship. The game show hostess stated that Merv Griffin chose them because he knew they would be able to get along and be a team player.

However, hosting Wheel Of Fortune isn’t the only thing she cherishes. Vanna is also passionate about crocheting which led to her becoming a spokesperson for Lion Brand Yarn. The company hosts her special Vanna’s Choice Yarn line. The TV personality started as a spokesperson for the brand thirty years ago. However, 15 years later, she got a chance to have her own line of yarn. About half of the proceeds from the profit made from the sale of her yarn line are donated to St. Jude.
