Meri Brown ‘Just Angry’ Over Christine & Kody Split
During a confessional from this week’s episode of Sister Wives, Meri Brown admits she’s “just angry” about Christine and Kody’s decision to split. Sister Wives fans are a bit baffled by her frustration as they have little idea why Christine leaving Kody matters to her. During a confessional, Meri does take the time to shed a little light on the reason why she’s so frustrated.
Why is Meri Brown so angry at Christine?
As TvShowsAce previously reported, Meri Brown was Kody’s first wife. Like Kody, she made the decision to explore plural marriage. She played a role in building the family she has now. She gave her approval on the wives Kody brought into the fold. In some cases, she even helped find them and was involved in the courting process. So, for Meri, Christine leaving also means that Meri failed at making this plural marriage work. And, fans think that is a blow to her ego she has trouble dealing with.
During the most recent episode of the show, however, it is not her ego that Meri Brown says is the reason why she’s just so angry with Christine. From Meri’s point of view splitting up and getting a divorce just isn’t something you do in a plural marriage.
Meri Brown explains that Christine is married to Kody. She, however, is married to more than just Kody. Christine also agreed to be in a family with Meri, Janelle, and Robyn. Likewise, Christine agreed to be the mother of ALL of Kody’s children. So, Meri points out that it isn’t just as simple as Christine has decided to leave Kody. Christine decided to leave everyone. Meri Brown thinks Kody and Christine need to pull their heads out of their butts and figure the situation out.
Do these two wives even have a relationship?
One of the biggest reasons Sister Wives fans are so truly baffled by Meri Brown being “just angry” is the fact that Meri and Christine seemingly have no relationship with each other. Fans just don’t understand why Meri could be so upset over losing someone she barely had anything to do with.
Would Christine leaving the family really change things that much for Meri? If anything, it just meant Meri might get a little more attention from Kody because she has one less wife to compete with. And, isn’t that what Meri implied she wanted in Season 16 when she revealed how desperate she was for ANY attention from him?
From Christine Brown’s point of view, she agrees her family will look a little different. She, however, believes there is nothing to unravel and very little is going to change the way things currently are.
