The View gets new digs for Season 26

Earlier this week, fans of The View noticed some changes with the set. It’s an all-new set for an all-new season. The old silver chairs have been swapped out for tan ones that feature four tall legs and a square seat. However, the seat wasn’t enough for Whoopi Goldberg to stay sitting.

During a conversation with Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, she admitted that she almost fell out of her seat. She had to sit at the edge since it was crowded at the round table. The chairs aren’t as comfortable as the old ones since they’re not padded and are still shorter.

The View fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Most of them loved the upgrades with the set. However, there are some who would love to see some changes. The added safety comes after Joy Behar fell earlier this year.

“Looks like The View has safer chairs at the table. So glad. Welcome back, ladies!” one user wrote.

“Love the new chairs!” another added.

Some fans think the logo could use some updates. As for Kelly Ripa, she’s taken notice of the changes on the morning show. She called out the show for getting a major studio makeover. The talk show host shared her comments during Thursday’s broadcast of Live With Kelly and Ryan.

Kelly Ripa & Ryan Seacrest stuck with old studio

During the Thursday, September 8 episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, she noticed the daytime show’s makeover. She spoke to producer Art Moore about the changes. Kelly Ripa was upset that they’re still stuck with an old studio.

“You know, I read breathlessly on one of the newsfeeds that The View hosts got all new chairs,” Kelly Ripa said.

Art seemed fine about the news. “Oh, good for them,” he responded. The conversation then shifted to Kelly Ripa and her co-host Ryan Seacrest getting new chairs. The American Idol host has fallen out of his chair on countless occasions.

Executive producer Michael Gelman assured the hosts that they have “very fancy, expensive, custom-made chairs.” Ryan joked that he “grew up watching these chairs.” Kelly chimed in that they’ve been here before her “pre-reign” era.

“By custom-made, you mean, you break out the WD-40, and you grease the ball-bearings to make them extra slippery, then okay,” Kelly Ripa joked.

Ryan asked Art if he “helped choose” the chairs. Art admitted that he “had a little bit to do with it.” Ryan joked: “Trying to figure out who is responsible.” This comes after TV Shows Ace previously reported that Kelly Ripa makes the final say on the changes that take place on the show.
