What Hallmark Series Do Brennan, Lacey Want To Make Another Episode?
Last weekend, Hallmark stars Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott were part of Christmas Con, held in Pasadena. As the two have done many things together, including Crossword Mysteries, what would they like to do a sequel to?
This was discussed at a panel that included these frequent co-stars. A Sleuther asked about the stalled mystery series, but Lacey veered towards one of her favorite series.
According to People, who reported on the event, Lacey would love to do another All Of My Heart movies.
“I was just saying that the follow-up I would want to do would be to All of My Heart.”
This response led to “cheers” from the “nearly 600” members of the audience. It also led to some jokes from Elliott. It appears that Lacey was enamored with the goats that were also in the movie. Lacey also explained further.
“Every time the goats were around, Brennan’s like, ‘Oh, we’ve lost her. There she goes.’ But there were little teeny tiny baby goats! They were so adorable. … I really genuinely wanted to hold a goat in every scene.”
There are a total of three All Of My Heart movies including the original, Inn Love, and The Wedding.
Will Lacey And Brennan Make Another Hallmark Mystery?
Sleuthers should also note that Lacey and Brennan also talked about their Hallmark Mystery series.
“I’m really proud of the five movies and I love where they’ve taken the characters, finally solving the murder and having a romantic ending. They are really fun but it’s been a year and a half since we made one and I don’t know what the future holds for Crossword exactly.”
After the publication pointed out that Lacey said that “coyly,” she added, “We’ll just have to wait and see.”
Brennan seemed on board with any sort of project with Lacey. “Hopefully, we’ll work together on a lot more stuff.”
What Is The Status Of Crossword Mysteries?
What should Sleuthers get out of this interaction with Lacey and Brennan? Will Hallmark make more Crossword Mysteries?
They did not seem to know.
However, unlike Alexa PenaVega, Danica McKellar, and Kellie Martin, they all confirmed on social media that their Hallmark mysteries, Picture Perfect Mysteries, Matchmaker Mysteries, and Halley Dean Mysteries, were all canceled.
They were told their mysteries were canceled. Therefore, they told fans. Hallmark also told fans via social media that Aurora Teagarden Mysteries were canceled after Candace Cameron Bure defected to GAC.
If Crossword Mysteries were truly canceled, Lacey and Brennan would know the verdict and they would confirm this information, just as the other stars did.
Does this mean Sleuthers have something to look forward to in 2023? Hopefully, those “coy” looks mean that something is brewing because 2022 has been a tough year for Sleuthers.
