‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ Courtney Waldrop Back To Teaching?
When Sweet Home Sextuplets star, Courtney Waldrop, learned she was pregnant with six babies and adding to their already blessed family of five, she left her teaching career. Since she would focus on raising nine children full-time, it seemed insurmountable to think about teaching simultaneously. But now that the kids are getting older, will she return to her classroom?
Eric And Courtney Waldrop’s Life Turned Upside Down
While Sweet Home Sextuplets fans have watched the small family of five grow to a huge family of eleven, it is hard to believe the sextuplets are almost seven! Eric and Courtney Waldrop’s eldest son Saylor is starting 10th grade; twin boys Bridge and Wales are in 6th grade; and sextuplets Blu, Layke, Rawlings, Rayne, Tag, and Rivers will be tackling kindergarten this year. Since her miracle babies are progressing right along, it is the dawn of new opportunities for the family. Specifically, it is an exciting time for Courtney to think about life differently now that the kids are growing up.
Sweet Home Sextuplets Courtney Waldrop Back To Teaching?
Recently, on Courtney Waldrop’s Instagram page, she gave fans a big update about change on the horizon for their family. She reminisces, “7 years ago at this exact time I had to step down from teaching. I was pregnant with the Sextuplets and I think I made it one week into the school year when I realized I couldn’t make it any longer.” Although she was passionate about her teaching career, her priorities shifted with the overwhelming news of adding six kids to their brood.
She continues on Instagram, “I had taught First Grade for 14 years!! I loved it so much. I loved everything about it from my students to all the people I worked with. Everyone was so good to me when I had to stop teaching…helping me in so many ways!!” Undeniably, the past seven years have been full of exciting growth in the family. Watching the sextuplets grow and the older boys take leaps and bounds, Courtney was unbelievably busy with being a full-time mom. But is it time for Courtney to go back to school?
Courtney Waldrop Addresses Burning Question
But Courtney Waldrop answers a burning question, “Since then I bet I’ve been asked a million times if I thought I would ever go back to teaching and my answer always is ‘I’m never going to say never…but not sure if I can right now.’ Funny how God opens doors when you’re least expecting it.”
After a break from the classroom, Courtney says, “So I’m excited to say after 7 years of being out of the school environment so I could take care of all my babies I have now been blessed with an opportunity to go back to something I love (part-time) and this time around I get to go back with my babies🥹.” Since she is sending her kiddos back it is the perfect opportunity for her to regain her independence through teaching while also being near her children. She reflects as she cherishes the opportunity to return, “I walked out the school doors with these SIX in my belly and now I’m walking back in with these SIX holding my hand🥹🙌🏻🙌🏻 We’ve come a long way…ALL the glory to HIM!!🙏🏻”
Fans Celebrate The New Stage
After Courtney Waldrop announced she is returning to teaching part-time, fans were very encouraging about her decision.
