Carl Radke Explains Origin Of New Bar Name
Summer House stars, Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard parted with a lot of tension. She questioned his sobriety, and she objected when he wanted to open a non-alcoholic bar. He thought that she was too hard and he wanted a softer person. So, Bravo fans suspect that he dissed her when he named the bar, but he explained the origins of the name.
Carl Radke Can Be Cutting
The Summer House star can be very cutting and it’s not surprising that fans thought he might be dissing Lindsay Hubbard. After all, he cut off his mentor and supporter, Captain Lee Rosbach, of all people. The Below Deck personality had defended him, and given him a chance to say his side of the story after allegations of fathering a child with someone else.
Carl Radke seemed super-sensitive after the cancellation of the wedding. Captain Lee shared a common bond with him because Carl’s brother passed away from addiction problems. Meanwhile, a relative of the “Stud of The Sea” also experienced that type of loss. Naturally, when Carl thought about opening a bar, it was never going to serve alcoholic drinks. Still, Lindsay Hubbard hated the idea of it.

The New Bar Name Is Launched
On social media on Tuesday, Linday’s ex soft-launched his new bar in New York. Shared on Twitter (X,) by Queens of Bravo, a lot of people responded positively. However, other fans claimed that he dissed Lindsay Hubbard with the name choice. He had written:

In the comments, many Summer House fans who like a drink but not hanging out where alcohol is served, loved the idea. But, there were negative comments about using the word “Soft.” Here are some of those:
- Asking Lindsay to be softer to him and opening up a bar named soft. Diabolical honestly.
- The name feels cringy, no?
- I will say the word soft should really only apply to bunnies & robes & pop.
- Soft? Seems appropriate for Carl.
- I’ll bet he knows a lot about being soft.
Summer House Star Explains The Name
Lindsay Hubbard’s ex discussed the name with Page Six, and it wasn’t a diss or about his former fiancee. The outlet cited the Bravo personality as saying that he sees the word “soft” used differently when he travels overseas. He added:
While ‘Soft drinks’ is a term used in the US, it has a different connotation, typically representing soda, I wanted to define a new and much needed category and space, having ‘soft drinks’ or ‘softs’ be seen as functional and high quality non [alcoholic] beverages for adults.
