Hallmark Mystery Launched In 2024 With Promise Of Multiple Episodes
In early March, HMM rebranded to Hallmark Mystery. Also, Lisa Hamilton Daly spoke to the Hallmark Mysteries & More podcast explaining why they rebranded. In an interview that all Sleuthers should listen to, the EVP of Programming at Hallmark Media explained that they were now going to focus on mysteries. They are ramping up production.
In addition, she revealed that three was the magic number for mystery viewing success. What seems to happen is that by the time viewers get to the third movie, they are hooked. Moreover, viewership increases exponentially. She also pointed out how there is not an American equivalent to Acorn TV, which specializes in cosy mysteries.
Hallmark is fantastic at branding. Moreover, fans know what to expect when they watch the network. These are not violent or hardcore mysteries that are unsettling. There will be some romance, and definitely some fun characters.
Therefore, now that the network has premiered a cornucopia of single mystery movies, many Sleuthers may want to know which movies will have a sequel.

For months, Sleuthers have been waiting for The Cases Of Mystery Lane sequel starring Aimee Garcia and Paul Campbell. The first was such a success, fans want to know when there will be more.
Paul Campbell recently responded to a comment asking about the second Cases Of Mystery Lane movie. He wrote, “It’s coming. And it’s freakin good.” The word is that it will premiere soon. Perhaps before Christmas programming starts?
Which Hallmark Mystery Sequels Have Been Filmed?
Have any Hallmark Mystery sequel movies been filmed? There are a couple that can be reported on. Firstly, Stephen Huszar recently shared that he and Jodie Sweetin filmed four more Jane Mysteries.
Second, it looks like they recently filmed a couple of Aurora Teagarden prequel mysteries based on social media and online industry publications. This stars Skylar Samuels as the librarian sleuth, as well as Evan Roderick, and Marilu Henner.
However, Hallmark has not made a formal announcement about this series.
