This movie’s tagline is “murder, mystery, marriage.” Best of all, this is a mystery that includes comedy. Both Aimee and Paul are known for their comedic, as well as dramatic chops. This is a pairing that we never knew we needed!

What do we know about the new Hallmark mystery, The Cases Of Mystery Lane? According to the Hallmark synopsis, on the surface, Birdie (Garcia) and Alden (Campbell) Case seem like the ideal couple. But not everything is picture perfect.
Birdie is a go-getter. She is a successful attorney that seems to have endless energy. As for Alden, he is charming. However, unlike Birdie, he is floundering. He cannot figure out a career to pursue. He gets interested but winds up finding fault. Alden cannot commit to one career.
In addition, the couple has very little in common now. They have no hobbies that they share.
After many failed attempts at figuring out what he is interested in, Alden decides he wants to become a private investigator. However, he goes behind Birdie’s back by lying about what he is doing. He doesn’t want to risk failing in front of her once again. This is why he has kept this a secret.
Therefore, while working on a homework assignment, Alden finds himself involved in a murder investigation. While Birdie seems to believe this death is an accident, Alden knows better. Moreover, he believes that Birdie may have information that will help him solve his first murder.
But, Alden is now beginning to realize that Birdie has some of her own secrets. Can he trust her enough to work together? Or, are they going to be working against each other?

The Obvious Guest Star In Future Cases Of Mystery Lane Movies
Although only one movie has been announced in The Cases Of Mystery Lane series. Could there be more? Hallmark has not made any sort of announcement. However, should they decide to make another, there is an obvious guest star. They need to bring back Tricia Helfer.
Helfer, who last starred in the Hallmark Christmas movie It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas also starred with Aimee Garcia in Lucifer, and Paul Campbell in Battlestar Galactica.
It would be pretty fun to see her return to Hallmark in a role that would connect these actors again.
