‘Survivor Season 47’ Player Has Ties To Former President
Survivor released a promo for its last season as the current one came to a close. In the promo, several people appeared and one of them has ties to a former President of the United States.
Here is who that specific person is and what they had to do with the President in the past.
Survivor 47 Contestant Worked For A Former U.S. President
A promo announcing Survivor 47 aired as Season 46 came to a close. The promo showed a few different people and hinted that the show was coming soon. While fans celebrated Kenzie Petty’s big win in this season’s finale, many others got excited when they recognized a face from the promo for next season.
This person is Jon Lovett. For those who don’t recognize his name, Jon is a former White House speechwriter for President Barack Obama. He is also the co-host of the “Pod Save America” podcast. There is no official announcement of who else is on the show, but the fact that Jon was seen in the jungle makes it look like he will be one of the competitors.
Jon Lovett, 47, also was called out by an actor/director after the announcement. Jon Favreau, the man who directed Iron Man and who stars as Happy Hogan in the MCU, posted on Twitter, “What did I tell you? Eat Pray Lovett” along with a clip of the trailer.
In the teaser, Jon said he has “no outdoor skills” and asked, “What am I doing here?” He also said he went camping as a Cub Scout and then threw up and went home.
Lovett served as a White House staffer during President Obama’s administration where he worked as a speechwriter from 2009 to 2011. Lovett won a contest to earn the job. He only worked as a speechwriter for the first term.
What To Expect From Survivor 47
Jon Lovett has a career in comedy, which is what he was planning to do before he got his job in politics. He co-created and executive-produced the 2012 sitcom 1600 Penn, which was on NBC for one season. He also wrote for and produced The Newsroom on HBO.

There were also video clips of people who seemingly have much more experience than Jon Lovett. One person said he wants to forge his own legacy on the reality TV series. Another said Survivor is the “most important chapter” in their life. One other person said they want to be someone that people want to see win.
There was also a 59-year-old woman who will compete in the competition in Fiji next season.
