“I know it’s not exactly the norm in their community but God I wish so much that the siblings would have been recommending therapy for Amy from the start,” a concerned Redditor wrote online this week.

On the show, Chris Combs said that his sister Amy hasn’t been taking her medication or proper care of herself. And sadly, that also means her sons Glenn and Gage aren’t always receiving adequate care either.

Overall, it seemed like many other 1000-Lb Sisters fans sincerely want Amy Halterman to receive the help she needs. Unfortunately, her background and fixed mindset make it difficult for her to seek proper treatment.

You can’t force people into therapy. … Her one and only goal was to be a mom,” another user replied.

Others have speculated that TLC is purposefully ignoring Amy’s mental health issues for the sake of ratings.

“No kidding she’s struggling, and no kidding that TLC is just sitting back and filming it. It makes for drama. If TLC gave a sh** about these folks, they would be paying them more than a few hundred to a couple thousand per episode,” another Redditor shared. They went on to point out that family matriarch Darlene didn’t give her children the tools they needed to seek professional help.
