‘DWTS’ Fans Livid Over Elimination Process, Call For Change
Dancing With The Stars fans are fed up with the elimination process this season and are demanding major changes.
Every year, many fans have disagreements about who deserves to stay and who should leave. But this season, most online viewers seem pretty united in their views. They think many undeserving couples are sliding through while other talented couples are being punished.
If something doesn’t change quickly, DWTS might alienate many viewers. Keep reading to see what fans are saying online.
DWTS fans are angry over the Music Video Night elimination
Surprise eliminations often happen on Dancing With The Stars. Sadly, Season 32 is no different. Viewers were astonished when social media influencer Lele Pons and her partner Brandon Armstrong left on Tuesday night.
One of the biggest issues is that most DWTS fans felt there were several couples more deserving of elimination. Online, many are calling for change.
Over on Reddit, many fans aired their grievances.
“HOW IS HARRY STILL AROUND!? I’m legit beginning to hate this guy for having to watch his absolutely awful dancing every week DX. I hope his fans just let the misery end for everyone’s sake.” one Redditor wrote.
“The judges are playing favorites, Jason deserved way better scores than he’s been getting, they rave about his dancing yet give him scores that are low, like what does he have to do, become an actual professional dancer before they give him tens?? Makes no sense,” another wrote.
Many agreed that reinstating the bottom two and judges’ saves would quickly rectify the situation.
In other seasons, there would be two couples in danger at the end of the night. The judges would then vote to save one couple from elimination. This wasn’t a perfect system either, but many viewers agreed it saved many talented competitors from exiting prematurely.
So what happens next?
It’s unknown whether or not DWTS producers are going to reinstate the bottom two and judges’ saves. However, many viewers would really appreciate it at this point. There are seven couples left and many have grown to be wildly unpopular with audience members. No one wants to see another fan-favorite like Lele Pons leave the competition early.
