DWTS Music Video Night has just come to a close. The night started out with eight couples and now seven remain. It was definitely an exciting night full of great routines choreographed to honor iconic music videos, including team routines.

Another couple leaves after Music Video Night

Although no one wants to say goodbye on Dancing With The Stars, someone must go home at the end of the night. So how exactly did Music Video Night go for the top eight?

Many Dancing With The Stars fans fully expected Netflix star Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold to leave the competition tonight. However, they managed to make it through to another week despite receiving the lowest score of the night at 24/40.

Likewise, Brady Bunch star Barry Williams and his partner Peta Murgatroyd received a 28/40 for their Quickstep to Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing.” But even so, they too managed to survive for another week.

So who did go home?

Surprise eliminations are pretty common on Dancing With The Stars, especially late in the competition. But few fans predicted this elimination would take place.

Singer Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong delighted audiences with their Salsa to “Whenever, Wherever” by Shakira. Lele in particular was excited about the routine she idolized Shakira since she was a child. However, the judges seemed a bit unenthused about the performance and gave the couple a 33/40.

At the end of the competition, the hosts revealed their time in the ballroom was over.

Many fans didn’t appreciate one particular element

Although many couples performed spectacularly, many DWTS viewers thought Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov stole the show with their Cha-cha-cha to “I’m A Slave 4 You” by Britney Spears. They took the top spot on the leaderboard after the first round before the team dances.

However, many fans were upset that Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold performed an NSYNC routine just after this number. Harry dressed as Justin Timberlake for the dance, which fans found to be in poor taste following the recent allegations in Britney Spears’ memoir.

Do you agree with the eliminations from tonight’s episode? Who would you have sent home instead? Leave your own thoughts and ideas in the comments.

Dancing With The Stars will put out another exciting episode next Tuesday night at 8 PM Eastern time on ABC. Tune in and see what the top seven couples bring to the table next week! The competition is really heating up, so the remaining contestants really need votes from their fans.

  1. What happened Monday night shows you why there needs to be a return to a judges’ save. Had there been a judges’ save this year, I think Harry Jousey should have gone home. I think the judges would have saved LeLe Pons, for sure. I feel the fans are voting for Rylee Arnold because of former pro Lindsay. Lindsay has nothing to do with this!! Lindsay is not even on the show!! This show should be about how you dance, not just because of a favorite couple. This show has never been about how you dance. All they care about is Rylee Arnold. If her last name wasn’t Arnold or any name related to another star or pro, she would have gone home. Harry would simply be an also-ran. He would be a nothing. Why would voters care about HIM? They don’t. They only care about Rylee. It’s all about name recognition, just like in Election Day voting. The same thing can happen on Election Day, and that’s why you have a candidate who wins who is related to someone else with the same last name. Anyway, I wished there had been a different outcome, and that Le Le could have advanced. I had her as an odds-on favorite for possibly winning the show. Now everything’s changed because of the upset elimination. We just have to see how next week goes.
