ABC Drops ‘GMA3’ Anchors Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes
ABC has officially let go of its GMA3 anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. The couple made headlines with their workplace romance that came to light last year while they were both married to other people. Ever since then, the network suspended the hosting duo amid an ongoing internal investigation into their relationship that lasted more than a month. Keep reading to find out the details!
Amy Robach Will No Longer Be A Part Of ABC’s 20/20
The announcement of Robach and Holmes being fired from the show came after several negotiation and mediation sessions. Amid their absence, DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally settled into their seats as temporary replacements. Currently, GMA3 has no permanent hosts picked for the show. Additionally, Amy Robach will also leave another assignment at ABC.

In 2018, Amy joined ABC’s 20/20 as a co-anchor and now, she will no longer be a part of the show as reported by US Magazine. ABC News president, Kim Godwin, already has a decision about Amy Robach’s replacement on the show. However, she added that the decision regarding GMA3’s replacement hosts will come later. She also acknowledged that the ongoing controversy has been a matter of distraction for both the show viewers and the ABC team as well.
ABC Confirms Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes’ Exit From GMA3
ABC’s spokesperson confirmed Amy and Holmes’ firing in an official statement that read:
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that ABC was negotiating to figure out the appropriate decision regarding the couple that started their affair in August 2022. A source revealed that several higher-ups in the network are of one mind that the couple should be fired. However, they were still stuck in a moral dilemma.
Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Aren’t Active On Social Media
Holmes and Robach were on the front page news in November 2022 after several tabloids published pictures of the couple holding hands in the backseat of a car in NYC. After their relationship became public, they quickly deactivated their social media accounts. However, later on, Robach reactivated her Instagram account but hasn’t been active a lot. Her last post was on November 24, 2022, as she shared a picture from Prague, Czech Republic.

Although Godwin claimed that their relationship was in no way a violation of company policy, the decision to fire them has upset several fans.
On Twitter, a fan wrote, “What is the scandal with two adults having a consensual relationship? Their exes can have an opinion, but their bosses? I don’t get this!”

Robach joined the network in 2012 while Holmes joined in 2014. Together, they started hosting GMA3 together in 2020.
