GMA wants to move on from the scandal

Insiders told Page Six that the talk show wants to move on from the drama involving TJ Holmes and Amy Robach. It has been exhausting for everyone involved. The ongoing review has caused nothing but headaches for its staffers. Some are even placing blame on the way ABC President Kim Godwin handled the situation.

The two still appeared on the show shortly after the news of their alleged affair broke. However, ABC pulled them from the air the following week. Since then, they launched an internal review, which is ongoing. Insiders associated with the morning show said they had enough.

“It’s going on two months! It’s been a two-month tabloid frenzy,” one insider told Page Six. “The place is not in a very good place [to be]. It’s affecting morale — not so much the talent. It’s the rank-and-file — the people who keep the lights on. Morale is at an all-time low.”

GMA employees didn’t find it fair that the duo wasn’t pulled off the air immediately. Kim defended her actions. She told Page Six the reason why she made a delayed decision is that it became an “internal and external distraction.” However, some feel that the affair was already distracting to the staffers.

Did TJ Holmes & Amy Robach violate ABC policy?

People want answers about the internal review. They want to know if Amy Robach and TJ violated the policy. Even if they didn’t, they should’ve been removed effectively, says some of the staffers. The two were allowed on the air for a few more days.

“Why tell people they didn’t violate anything and then take them off the air?” the insider asked. “It makes no sense. There’s nothing consistent about her behavior except the inconsistencies of her behavior.”

Insiders are blaming Kim for the way the situation unfolded. She has been vague about what’s been happening behind the scenes. Even newcomer DeMarco Morgan didn’t know the reason behind his new role. He flew to the morning show from Los Angeles, where he previously worked.

  1. Let’s blame Godwin for the delay, yes if Holmes and Robach were remembered their wedding vows there wouldn’t be any problems. If Holmes would been stopped years ago with his actions on other women things would have been different. If they would’ve dug more into his pass history they would’ve found more women, but yes let’s blame Godwin for delaying the fact finding mission. If only they wouldn’t cheating on their spouses.
