American Idol fans are demanding justice for the newly ejected Lady K. Most of them have already shared their disappointment with Season 20. They’re not happy with how this season has panned out. Most of their favorites have already gone home, while their least favorites are still there.
Unfortunately, Lady K didn’t make the Top 7. Fans stormed social media and called the show “rigged.” Disney Night took place on Sunday, May 1. However, it didn’t have a happy ending. Despite her emotional performance of “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, she had to go home later that night.
Lady K is the next one to go home
Lady K failed to impress both the judges and the audience. She earned her spot in the Top 10 of American Idol Season 20. On the Sunday night episode, the Top 10 contestants had to compete in the Disney Night special at Disneyland, California. Their performance would secure them a spot in the Top 7.
American Idol fans watched in anticipation. They hoped that some of their favorites would make it through to the next round. Lady K worked with professional dancer and choreographer Derek Hough. She wanted to sing “How Far I’ll Go” from the animated movie Moana.

Lady K did not secure enough votes from American Idol fans to make it to the next round. She was the next one to go home that night. American Idol fans are not happy with this latest loss.
They have already lost many of their favorites in the following weeks. Some of them stormed social media to share their thoughts on Lady K’s elimination.

As usual, American Idol fans don’t agree with this elimination. They felt there were other singers who should’ve gotten sent home. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, some are stumped with Dan Marshall. They think his singing voice is getting worse with each passing week.

- “Lady K was my girl… not sure how to feel about this.”
- “LADY K WAS ROBBED.”
Other fans accused American Idol of being “rigged.” They don’t understand how she got eliminated. One fan noted that Christian Guardino, Fritz Hager, and Jay Copeland should’ve ended up in her place. Lady K went home alongside Mike Parker and Emyrson Flora.

THIS SHOW NEEDS NEW JUDGES
It is not the judges doing the voting. But since voting now starts at the beginning of the show, it has become more of a popularity contest than a singing competition. How can a singer who has not sang that night get votes.
I know the reason for the voting system is so the viewers on the West Coast can vote the same time the viewers on the East Coast do. But, if I were to vote, I would want to hear the song first.
It is a show!
Such is the game, plenty of contestants have been voted off in the past, people and judges thought should have stayed. Move on people they knew what they were signing up for. Don’t bring the show back if your audience believes something is a skew. It was already retired once, maybe we should return to that decision and stick with it.
Fans are the ones choosing the people they want to stay. I have only voted a few times and the people I liked went home. I am sure there are others who do the same
So far the picks are spot on! America knows what kind of music they like to listen to!
I felt that the show was rigged last year also. I really liked Tristan. He was the only rocker on the show. They need to wait till the performers sing and vote at the end of the show like they use too. I’m throu with it.
I really liked Lady K… however.. her performance just did NOT blow me away… my husband and I quickly picked the three we thought would go home based on their song choices and performances and although we were sad.. Lady K was one we figured would go home… she is an excellent singer.. but several times she has just been “ok”… seeming to be “timid” and not “show up” like the others… we wish her well!!
Lady K was far better than some of them that went through … The girl that did the witch song from Mermaid made all types of mistakes in her performance. I thought for sure the judges caught it but they didn’t. Maybe the judges should select the idols … Sometimes the public makes it personal.
