President Trump made the surprising decision to fire Pam Bondi as Attorney General earlier this week. It was a topic of conversation on daytime, primetime, and late-night talk shows. But The View didn’t address it at all. Keep reading to find out why the hosts stayed mum on the breaking news.

President Trump Fires Pam Bondi Over Epstein Files

President Trump is unhappy with several members of his administration. He fired Kristi Noem from her role as Secretary of Homeland Security in March. The move came after she faced backlash for using over $200 million on hair, makeup, and other unnecessary expenses for immigration ad campaigns.

The firing followed bombshell allegations that Kristi Noem was romantically involved with her political advisor, despite being married. She was let go after months of public backlash for the harsh tactics of ICE that led to several deaths. But she wasn’t the only one on the chopping block.

Attorney General Pam Bondi was in charge of releasing the Epstein files, among other things. However, she allegedly delayed the release multiple times. President Trump campaigned on releasing the files of the convicted sex offender. He reportedly got fed up with the delays and fired Pam Bondi.

He wrote on Truth Social that she’s moving to a private sector job. Kristi Noem was transferred to another position within the Trump administration.

The View Hosts Stay Mum On Shocking Event

Rumblings of Pam Bondi’s impending firing circulated on social media hours before the official announcement. While the firing was leaked, it was still a shock. The Attorney General’s firing was a huge topic on news stations and talk shows. But The View didn’t address it at all. Why not?

The View aired this week as scheduled. However, Friday’s episode was a repeat as the hosts went on break for the holiday. According to Entertainment Weekly, there’s a simple explanation for the hosts staying mum on the weekend show. It was reportedly filmed in the days before news broke that Pam Bondi was let go.

The outlet noted that several of the hosts did address it on their personal social media. Ana Navarro, who used to be friends with Pam Bondi, reportedly dedicated an entire episode of her podcast to the topic.

The View airs a week of reruns beginning on Monday, April 6. The talk show returns with new episodes on Monday, April 13. That’s the same day Alyssa Farah Griffin returns from maternity leave.

There is a chance the hosts could address Pam Bondi’s firing then, but so much other news has happened since then. Who knows. There could be more firings as President Trump looks to clean house ahead of midterms. Share your reaction to Pam Bondi’s firing in the comments.
