Recently, Bondi appeared before the House Judiciary Committee to answer for the handling of the Epstein files. Facing hours of questioning, she had since faced criticism over the fiery nature of her responses.

In particular, Jimmy Kimmel recently discussed the story on his show, with his team even putting together a compilation of moments from Bondi’s hearing. The host shared, “Today, it was Attorney General Pam Bondi’s turn in the hot seat.”

Kimmel had less than flattering words for Bondi, comparing her to a neighbor who made someone want to move without looking back. One clip that was shown featured Bondi implying that North Carolina Congresswoman Deborah Ross was fixated on her.

Jimmy Kimmel Made A Comparison To A Certain Lifetime Series

Kimmel then compared watching the clip to “speaking to a teenage girl.” The host continued, “That went on for, like, five hours. She’s shouting like a crazed Dance Mom, berating Democrats for giving her chubby daughter a low score.” This was in reference to the Lifetime reality series, Dance Moms, which ran from 2011 to 2019.

Kimmel felt that the stakes were high for Bondi as there had been claims that Trump was upset about her for not doing enough against his “enemies.” As the U.S. Attorney General, it’s Bondi’s responsibility to steward the release of the Epstein documents.

As noted by Entertainment Weekly, the Epstein Files Transparency Act recently mandated the Department of Justice to make these files available to the public. However, Bondi has faced criticism for redacting a number of documents and continuing to withhold millions more.

Kimmel addressed this criticism, noting, “There’s nothing to defend here. This Department of Justice is hiding the names of people who are not victims. Why are they doing that?”
