Corey Harrison of Pawn Stars fame recently suffered a near-death incident. Since then, he’s been calling on fans for help, even financially. Meanwhile, another Pawn Stars figure has released a statement about the situation.

Pawn Stars‘ Corey Harrison Was In An Accident In Mexico Earlier This Year

Viewers were introduced to members of the Harrison family through the History reality series Pawn Stars. First coming out in 2009, the show revolves around the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a family business based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As seen on the show, the family shop was originally operated by patriarch Richard “Old Man” Harrison, who passed away in 2018, his son Rick, grandson Corey, and Corey’s childhood friend, Austin “Chumlee” Russell. Richard and Rick first opened the store together in 1989.

As previously reported, Corey was involved in a terrifying motorcycle accident in Tulum, Mexico. The incident left him with 11 fractured ribs, a concussion, and facial injuries. At the time, these injuries forced him to miss his father, Rick Harrison’s January wedding.

Speaking with TMZ, Corey shared that he spent two weeks in the hospital before prematurely checking himself out, citing financial issues. This reportedly causes further issues, with Corey experiencing pain at home, causing a house doctor to administer further treatments.

Corey Was Reportedly Reluctant To Ask Fans For Help

According to Corey, these further treatments didn’t help much, causing friends to take him to a cheaper facility. He would then undergo three surgeries, spending around 18 days in the hospital.

Corey said that he was now recovering at home, but noted that he spent around $120,000 on medical bills. This has taken a toll on him, as he noted having just $400 in his bank account. He also claims to be in debt to his father and friends who lent him money to help with his medical costs.

Corey shared that he was reluctant to ask fans for help. However, he noted, “What am I going to do, fly out to Vegas and sell stuff? I can’t move from my recliner.” While he noted that he still receives some residual checks from Pawn Stars, he also shared that he was virtually removed from the show.

Meanwhile, Rick Harrison also spoke with the outlet, noting, “Corey is a grown man and he will deal with his life as he sees fit.” A GoFundMe has also been established on Corey’s behalf.

  1. Made tons of money and squandered it and now asking for handouts. Classy.

Just like pawn stars. Asking for 120k? It’s only worth 120.00 so I’ll give you 6.00.

  2. I think the go fund me money should be returned to the people that donated to him. I gave him 300 dollars
