News has come out that Matt Brown of Alaskan Bush People fame has been presumed dead after witnesses shared reports of an incident at a river. Since then, an ominous message was shared on his Facebook page. This also comes out after his brother, Bear, recently broke his silence over the story.

On Alaskan Bush People, which ran from 2014 to 2022 on the Discovery Channel, viewers watched the Brown family live off the grid in the title state. Matt is the eldest son of Ami and the late Billy Brown.
Fans of the show have been following the family for years after the show’s original run. However, reports have come out concerning posts on Matt’s social media after earlier reports came out sharing that he was presumed dead.
As noted by TMZ, Matt was seen near a Washington river where an unidentified man later disappeared on Wednesday. The same day, a lengthy post appeared on Matt’s Facebook. It read, “Feelings shift. Priorities change. Connections fade. That’s part of life, no matter how painful it is to accept.”
The post called on readers to love others and be genuine. It also warned to “never lose yourself trying to hold onto someone who has already let go.” As it continued, “At the end of the day, your relationship with yourself is the one that must survive every version of your life.”
Multiple posts have gone up since Matt was spotted less than a mile from where the witness claimed to have seen a man swept away in the Okanogan River. However, Facebook posts can be scheduled in advanced, meaning that they do not have to be posted in real time.
Matt’s Brother, Bear, Also Claimed To Have Been Informed Of A Witness Report
A few videos also popped up on Matt’s page yesterday. This was followed by another ominous message.
As it read, “Sometimes, the hardest task you must do every day is to keep going. You know you can just lay there on your bed the whole day, but something inside you whispers hope to get up and urge you to fix yourself. I know all this time; you’ve been trying hard to survive a day with deep sadness and you’ve been trying to find an escape from it. It is not easy, darling; it will never be easy to pick yourself up again after a great downfall.”
The post concluded, “One thing that you should keep in mind is that whether you’re okay or not. Time won’t just stop for you. You may be tired of trying to fix yourself over and over again, but trust your own strength darling. Tell yourself that you will never give up till the day you found your happiness.”
As the outlet noted, Matt’s brother, Bear, shared that he was told that Matt had been seen near a river and was later seen floating in the water. Reportedly, the family cut Matt off five years prior due to his past behavior.
