JoJo Siwa Breaks Down In Tears Over Boyfriend’s Comments
Whether they know her from Dance Moms or her music career, fans of JoJo Siwa have been following her relationship with Chris Hughes over the past few months. Recently, Siwa has shared an emotional moment between the two of them. During the conversation, Siwa also touched on issues she had dealt with in the past.
JoJo Siwa First Met Chris Hughes While Working On Celebrity Big Brother UK
Siwa first came to prominence while appearing on Dance Moms for two seasons. Following this, he pursued a career in music.
Back in April, Siwa appeared in the British edition of Celebrity Big Brother, eventually leaving the show in third place. During her time on the show, she met English television personality Chris Hughes, who previously appeared on the third series of Love Island.
The couple has since made headlines, with Siwa confirming the following June that their relationship wasn’t platonic. Recently, on social media, Siwa got emotional when discussing a moment between her and Hughes.
In a video uploaded to TikTok and Instagram, Siwa, while drying her hair, noted that Hughes told her, “‘You have a really good hairline.'” Laughing through tears, she admitted, “That’s the number one thing I was bullied for as a child.”
Hughes began comforting Siwa, telling her he loved her and giving her a tissue and a hug. He shared, “You have a really good hairline. It’s got so much hair.”
Hughes Himself Also Recently Touched On His Relationship With Siwa
In a caption, Siwa explained that a stress rash from her time on Dance Moms also impacted her hairline. She also assured she was crying out of happiness from Hughes’ comments.
Siwa shared, “He had no idea of the 2017-2020 hairline memes that I’m not affected by on the daily anymore, but him saying this out of thin air literally finished healing a part of me. It’s almost like I had a band-aid over it for the last 8 years and just was leaving it there, scared to look under it to see if it’s healed.”

Metaphorically, Siwa suggested Hughes was removing the “band-aid” of her past pain. She continued, “And he removed it, being like, ‘Why do you have this on?,’ before I could even explain what it was. Lucky, lucky girl I am. Don’t even think I realize how lucky sometimes.”
In the past, Hughes has also spoken on how grateful he was to have Siwa in his life. Speaking with E! News, he shared, “She’s literally the love of my life, but she’s also my best friend… We spend so much time with each other, just us captivated in this little world in our living room.”
