‘General Hospital’ Alum Ryan Paevey Thanks Hallmark Fans For Voting For Him
Ryan Paevey is thanking his fans for voting for him in a recent online poll. This poll asked fans which star they wanted to return to the Hallmark Channel. In addition to the General Hospital alum, there was a lot of tough competition, including such heavy hitters as Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison, Trevor Donovan, Jen Lilley, Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, Lori Loughlin, Jesse Metcalfe, Chad Michael Murray, and even Luke Macfarlane. It should be noted that Luke is still with Hallmark.
Who won the poll, and what did Ryan have to tell fans?

On Thursday, Ryan Paevey went to his Instagram to thank fans for voting for him in the Just Jared poll. The Unleashing Mr. Darcy star wrote, “Hey guys we won that JustJared contest thing for who you want to see back on @hallmark.” He tagged the feel-good network in the story. In addition, he wrote, “Thanks for your support.”
What did the numbers reveal? Of course, Ryan overwhelmingly won with 47.52 percent, which was nearly 53 thousand votes. The closest to him was his A Little Daytime Drama costar, Jen Lilley, with 21.6 percent of the votes, which was 23,635 of the votes.
Ryan overwhelmingly beat out such former Hallmark, now Great American Family stars, such as Trevor Donovan, Mystery 101 alum Jill Wagner, Chad Michael Murray, Jesse Metcalfe, Lori Loughlin, Carlos and Alexa PenaVega, and even the former Hallmark Queen of Christmas, Candace Cameron Bure.
Surprisingly, Luke Macfarlane was on this list. He has not left Hallmark. Instead, he is very prominent on the network with his successful home remodeling series, Home Is Where The Heart Is.
Nonetheless, Ryan Paevey received nearly half of the votes and was the overwhelming fan favorite in this poll, where just over 109 thousand romcom fans voted.
The Hallmark Hunk Took A Step Back From Acting In 2024
Just last year, Ryan Paevey took a step back from acting. Citing his mother’s lung cancer diagnosis and disillusionment with Hollywood, the Christmas At The Plaza star made headlines when he decided to step back from acting. Ryan seemed surprised that he made the headlines. Yet, his departure seemed to coincide with many other problems with Hollywood and the lack of work for those in the industry living in Southern California.
However, by the end of 2024, Paevey seemed more open to returning to acting. Furthermore, he did share a cryptic IG Story that he was visiting Hallmark Media HQ for some friendly talks.
Yet, there is nothing definite that he will be returning to the network. But, this recent poll overwhelmingly showed that he is missed and fans would like to see Ryan in another Christmas movie. Moreover, he beat out some highly publicized actors who departed from Hallmark including CCB.
