Jordin Sparks Has It All
Jordan Sparks is an American singer and actress. The star won Season 6 of American Idol at just 17 years old in 2007. The singer is best known for her songs “No Air” and “Battlefield.”
She has guest starred on hit shows like Big Time Rush and The Suite Life on Deck. Additionally, she was in films like Dear Secret Santa and A Christmas Treasure. She even appeared on Dancing With The Stars and The Masked Dancer. Perhaps she will join The Masked Singer soon as fans believed she was the Seahorse.
Currently married to Dana Isaiah, a fitness model, since 2017, the two have a son named Dana Jr. Before this, Sparks was dating singer Jason Derulo for three years before breaking up in 2014.
Sparks’ Wild Ride
Jordin Sparks recently told Us Weekly some behind-the-scenes secrets. Furthermore, Sparks shared her preshow ritual. The “No Air” singer has silent time while perfecting her appearance. Additionally, she drinks tea and prays with her fellow performers before hitting the stage. Then, she reminds herself to “breathe” and “do [her] thing.”
As far as Sparks dressing room goes, it might not be what fans expect. The performer makes sure she has apples, juice, chips, and salsa. In addition, she makes sure to have popcorn in her “rider.” Moreover, she doesn’t believe she has any crazy things.
If fans were wondering if Sparks is a candle girlie, the answer is no. The actress revealed that she is “sensitive to certain scents,” so she doesn’t “do scented candles.” She is not a material girl, as all she needs is “ample light and a bathroom.”
Additionally, Sparks noted that “As long as everything is working on stage, that’s what matters.” Even though her room may be calm and she isn’t a diva, there is nothing calm about the life of a celebrity.
Hanging With The Celebrities
After touring with The Jonas Brothers for their World Tour in 2009, Jordin got to fully experience the “mania” of being a celebrity. She got to see the Brothers at “the height of their [fame].”
In addition, Sparks was so interested to see this peak of fame and the fans who were so obsessed that they would be screaming the Jonas Brothers’ names “outside the hotel” they were staying at.
Furthermore, Sparks also noted her experience with famous singer Britney Spears. It seemed to feel like Sparks’ “I made it moment” as she sang Spears’ song as a kid and then opened for her. The singer notes, “That was something crazy for me.”
The craziest fan moment that Sparks has ever had was someone trying to get into her car. The star explains, “Someone did try and open my car door and jump in with me one time while I was doing promo in New York. I was coming off of one of the morning shows, and we were already watching this person because their behavior was a little erratic.”
Then, she added, “And then, boom, we got in the car, and she had her hand on the handle, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, what is happening?’ That was definitely something I never thought I’d experience.”
