‘Fire Country’ Season 3 Brings In ‘Supernatural’s’ Jared Padalecki
Fire Country Season 3 is bringing in a very popular actor for a small role. According to new reports, Supernatural and Walker star Jared Padalecki has joined the cast of Fire Country on CBS. Here is what you need to know about this huge casting news.
Jared Padalecki Joining Fire Country Season 3
When The CW canceled Jared Padalecki’s reboot series Walker, fans wondered what was next for the former Supernatural star. Padalecki starred on Supernatural for its entire run of nearly two decades after a starring stint on Gilmore Girls. He caught on as the star in Walker, but that show has ended.
While some fans wanted to see Jared reteam with Jensen Ackles, possibly in the Prime Video series The Boys, it looks like he found something else, at least for now. Jared will appear in Fire Country Season 3 in a small recurring role.
Jared will play Camden, “a SoCal firefighter and maverick with a surfer swagger who is a force to be reckoned with and immediately recognizes Bode’s (Max Thieriot) raw talent” (via Variety). He is only set to appear in three episodes of the new season.
While his show was canceled on The CW, this keeps him in the “family” as CBS is under the same umbrella company.
Fire Country Offering Some Changes In Season 3
At the end of Fire Country Season 2, Bode (Max Thieriot) saves his estranged father’s life during a dangerous fire. This heroic action convinced authorities to shave time off his prison sentence and release him early. However, there is one serious problem with this.

Despite all the firefighting Bode did as part of the prison team, he is not certified to work as an official firefighter. He clearly wants to get back into the action, but he doesn’t have the official qualifications to get a job with a department. That makes Padalecki’s character interesting. If he is a veteran firefighter, could he have a hand in helping Bode get back into action?
Fire Country also stars Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer. A spinoff, Sheriff Country, starring Morena Baccarin, is coming. With shows like Blue Bloods getting canceled, there were rumors CBS wanted to make more of a franchise out of Fire Country, similar to One Chicago.
It remains to be seen whether Jared Padalecki’s appearance will be part of a backdoor pilot for the show.
