Bode Donovan fans are going to see a different side of him in Fire Country Season 2. Recently, Max Thieriot talked about this enigmatic character, as well as how fans of the CBS action drama will see a different side of him.

Now that he has been in prison, how different is Bode? Here is a hint of what is to come.

Bode Will Be Edgier In Fire Country Season 2

When Fire Country returns to CBS on Friday, February 16, viewers are going to see a different Bode. According to TV Insider, Max Thieriot promises viewers will see “prison Bode.” Thieriot, who stars as Bode, is the executive producer and co-creator of the series. He promises that in Season 2, fans will be “devastated or excited or heartbroken.” That is because things with Gabriela are a mess.

The Seal Team alum points out that “They have some work to be done.” But, it may take a while. That is because “prison Bode” is very different. Max shares that he has a “darker side, a little bit of that edge.”

This transformation happened in the six-month time jump that will start the new season.

Bode’s Relationships Need Work

In Fire Country Season 2, Bode’s relationships are going to need a lot of work. Already, we know that things with Gaby went south. However, what may take more of his time is repairing his relationship with his parents.

Thieriot warned, “He let down a lot of people, and I think he felt terrible about this difficult decision that he had to make and about what he told his parents.”

Therefore, it looks like restoring trust is key. Thieriot shared, “Clearly, there’s a lot of making up to do and putting all the pieces back together really with everyone.”

But, dad Vince can “look beyond” Bode’s past. Part of it is that he carries “guilt” as his father. Most of all, “the last thing he wants to do is to really lose his son.”

As for his mom, Sharon, repairing this relationship may test Bode in many ways. But, Max hints that although they really need relationship rebuilding, “You can be really upset with your mom, but when you see her, it’s like, ‘It’s my mom’ – and vice versa.”

Basically, there will be forgiveness. But, not without some work.
