When Supernatural ended, Jared Padalecki went on to star in Walker, a reboot of the classic Chuck Norris TV series Walker, Texas Ranger. While his former co-star Jensen Ackles saw his Supernatural spinoff, The Winchesters end after a short time, Walker continued on. However, that has now ended.

Jared Padalecki announced that The CW has canceled Walker after its fourth season.

Jared Padalecki Announces Walker Cancelation

Jared Padalecki took to Instagram to let fans know that his TV show Walker was coming to an end after four seasons. “It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with you. #Walker will not be airing on #CW for a fifth season,” Jared also wrote in his post. He left a photo of his cowboy hat with the post.

Jared said it was four years of “love and support” from the “Walker Family.” He said they are grateful. He said people always praise them, but it is the fans who deserve the praise for making Walker a hit show for four seasons. Padalecki said he would always smile about the years he spent with the cast and crew on this show.

“Til we right again,” he finished.

Jared Padalecki left Supernatural to star in Walker. The show is a reboot of the classic Chuck Norris TV show. There were some changes made to the original story. Cordell Walker returned home with his two kids after his wife died. Once there, Walker and his new partner (Lindsey Morgan – the first woman Texas Ranger in history) set out to solve crimes.

The series had four seasons and 64 episodes.

What Is Next For Jared Padelecki After Walker

This cancelation was no surprise. The CW got rid of almost every fan-favorite show on the network despite their popularity. The network wanted to change its operations. Instead of airing original scripted series, they mostly just show low-cost foreign imports and co-productions.

That means that Jared Padalecki will likely join Jensen Ackles in starring in shows on other networks after 19 years on The CW. Padalecki hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2015 and that was his only movie since 2009’s Friday the 13th. At the moment, he doesn’t have anything lined up.

There is a good chance that Padalecki could follow Ackles’s lead. Ackles has done some voice work in animated movies. However, he also took on roles in some other TV shows, including Big SkyThe Boys, and Tracker. But, for now, there is no word on what is next for the Walker star.
