‘Below Deck Med’ Sandy Yawn Ties The Knot With Leah Shafer

Captain Sandy Yawn from Bravo’s Below Beck Mediterranean finally married her fiance, Leah Shafer, and now, Leah changed her name to Leah Rae Yawn. Naturally, they tied the knot aboard a luxury yacht. The couple met in 2018, and they grew very close over the years. Keep reading to find out more.

Bravo fans heard the proposal went down during Season 9 of Below Deck Med, but it’s not clear if they will air the wedding as a special. However, it was filmed, according to Sandy and fans can look forward to something arriving on Bravo in the future. Colleagues and other cast members were at the wedding, including Aesha Scott and Kate Chastain.

Sandy Yawn shared all about her special day with Below Deck Med fans on her Instagram account. It turned out that the wedding officiant was Bravo’s executive producer, Nadine Rajabi. Other snippets about the wedding by the Bravo star revealed that Leah arranged the music.

In her post, the Bravo star told her fans more about her big day which happened over the weekend. After sharing photos of herself with her love, she wrote:

On May 11th, 2024 I married the love of my life. I had no idea how amazing marriage could be! It feels incredible and I feel like the luckiest woman in the world. I love you, Leah Rae Yawn!! Thank you for taking my name! Thank you to our entire family and friends for coming out to show your love and support to our relationship.

Sandy Yawn also told her followers, “If you’re wondering, Yes it was filmed. Thank you to our Bravo family. We love you. Stay tuned June 3rd on below deck med. @nadinerajabi thank you for marrying us, we love you.”
