‘RHONJ’ Dolores Catania Gives Divorce Update On Boyfriend, Paulie
RHONJ star Dolores Catania is giving a divorce update on her boyfriend, Paulie Connell. The two have been happily in love since 2021but he has been legally married all along. Now, is there a chance he will be officially single in the near future? Keep reading for more details.
RHONJ Dolores Catania Gives Divorce Update On Boyfriend, Paulie
Viewers always loved Dolores Catania with her ex-husband, Frank Catania. They thought the duo was fun and dynamic together despite being divorced. Dolores started dating doctor David Principe in 2017 and though he was a nice man, he was not all that exciting. He was always working and busy therefore Frank would step in for events and as Dolores’ date. Eventually, Dolores and David parted ways though he and Frank remained close, even living together when she met Paulie. The two met on a blind date and it seemed to work out because he blends with the househusbands on the show.
During last season, Paulie revealed he had purchased an engagement ring for Dolores. The only problem was he was still married to his former wife of over fifteen years. Now, with the Season 14 premiere of RHONJ on Sunday, May 5th, Dolores is giving an update on Paulie’s divorce status. According to Us Weekly, she had this to share:
“It’s very close. It’s been moving along.”

“Unless I wanted to really get married, I’m not pushing him to do things to force this. But in all fairness, for us to be at the relationship we are, he should not be married and, yeah, I expect a divorce. [I don’t expect] a ring [or] marriage. If it comes great, but that has to be [after a divorce].”
“Isn’t that, like, a societal thing? It’s got to stop. Why doesn’t everybody just ask, ‘What’s our next trip? What’s your next plan?’ Does it have to be marriage? Does it have to be engagement? Happiness is the goal. Peace in our lives is the goal. We’ve had that.”

Dolores Catania has made it clear that marriage is not a top priority for her. So, what is next for her and Paulie Connell? Can she give details or will fans just have to wait until the new season of RHONJ begins? She is at the point where she wants calm and peace which she feels that she has both:
“I just want peace. I want companionship. I want what I have with Paulie. Whatever comes I will be happy to have, but I’m not pushing for anything.”
Admittedly, her co-stars have been inquisitive about what Paulie Connell’s intentions are. Does he want to marry Dolores? She knows it does not come from a bad place. Yet, she reiterates this arrangement is fine for her and her life. Hopefully, seeing their lives plus the bond that they have with Frank Catania and his fiancee, Brittany Mattessich, will help some.
