Shannen Doherty Recalls Wearing Tori Spelling’s Deeply Personal Belongings
Shannen Doherty recalled wearing former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Tori Spelling’s deeply personal belongings. The two had a very close friendship while starring on the hit FOX series for four seasons together. Now, they are opening up about something Tori shared with Shannen after a very momentous occasion. Shannen Doherty Recalls Wearing Tori Spelling’s Deeply Personal Belongings
During their time on Beverly Hills, 90210, Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty had a very up-and-down friendship. Though they were very close at one point, things did get murky due to a bad romance Tori was in. Shannen shared this on her podcast, Let’s Be Clear. She explained that she couldn’t stand by and watch her friend be in this toxic situation. Additionally, the two ladies chatted about how easily influenced Tori was by the cast and people around her. This caused dissension in their friendship. More so, Tori admits that she still has trouble speaking up, even at 50.
That being said, the two are in a much better place and appeared on each other’s podcasts. According to People, Shannen was a guest on Tori’s new podcast, misSPELLING. There, she opened up about borrowing a dress from her friend that had sentimental value. The two were reminiscing about how they always shared clothing, as good friends do. Tori started talking about a very special dress that held a core memory for her:
“Do you remember the Betsy Johnson dress that you wore in our biggest cast photo? It was black, floral. We used to share clothes, everything.”

To that, Shannen replied:
“Are you trying to tell me you lost your virginity in my dress?”
Of course, Tori Spelling corrected the narrative for a stunned Shannen Doherty:
“Um, no, I’m going to say that you wore the dress I lost my virginity in. I told you! I literally said, ‘There’s a blood stain in the back’ and you were like, ‘I don’t give a f—k.’”
Shannen soon recalled a black dress with red roses that she adored. She proceeded to share that she believed it was cleaned but this stain just lingered.
Hard Times
Shannen Doherty only lasted for four seasons on Beverly Hills, 90210 before her character of Brenda Walsh headed to London. As for Tori Spelling, she stayed on for the show’s full ten-season run but Shannen admits she had a lot of struggles during her time.
“I was in a really horrible marriage, and there were things that were transpiring in that marriage that made it really hard for me to be on time for work.”
Though she knew it was on her to be a responsible adult, Shannen wished she had been talked to about what could happen if she did not get her act together.
“And I understand that you have an issue in your personal life, but that also can’t bleed into work and you need to get your s— together!”
Now, Tori and Shannen are on much better terms as the latter has been battling cancer for quite some time. The cast has rallied around her and it looks like the past has been left there.
