Growing up, Tori Spelling lived a lavish life. Her father was famed writer and producer Aaron Spelling. He was known for shows such as The Mod Squad, Charlie’s Angels, The Love Boat, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Melrose Place. Luckily, Tori was cast in some of her father’s shows, most notably 90210 but after she used a fake name so there would be no nepotism. She still had to prove herself as more than Aaron Spelling’s daughter. Sadly, he passed away in 2006 but left the majority of his estate to his wife, Candy Spelling.
His two children, Tori and Randy Spelling allegedly received less than a million dollars. Admittedly, Tori has had issues with money, based on the lavish way that she grew up. In her book, The High Life, written in 2013, Tori shared this:
“It’s no mystery why I have money problems. I grew up rich beyond anyone’s dreams. I never knew anything else. Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle I can’t seem to let go of my expensive tastes. And then there’s my shopping problem. I’ve bought ridiculous amounts of stuff for the kids, clothing, toys, crafts.”
Now, she is no longer working like she used to and is a single mother of five. Luckily, she has finally accepted help from her formerly estranged mother. Yet, what is Tori’s current 2024 net worth? According to Meaww, Celebrity Net Worth has it estimated at around $150K. That is shocking given the reality shows she has done, her personal appearances, podcasts, and other endeavors.
However, she recently shared that she owed $80K for 50 storage units back in 2016. Therefore, Tori had to have an estate sale in order to gather the funds for all of this. So, as aforementioned, she has never really learned how to live within her means.
Too Broke To Be Cast?
All of this came about when Tori Spelling claimed she was too broke to be on RHOBH. Though producer Andy Cohen never said that to her, she believes that to be the case.
