The American Idol contestant took to Instagram to reflect on her experience. She shared several photos and clips with fellow competitors and wrote, “Well that’s all for me folks. Thank you @americanidol for bringing my dreams to life. This isn’t the end for me… but only the beginning!”

She continued, saying that she was proud of herself for standing among the other 143 contestants. Admitting that she wasn’t “quite ready for such an intense experience,” Amanda shared that performing and being judged in front of so many people was intimidating. “Yet I DID THAT!” she wrote.

Amanda Mograss concluded her post by urging her followers to continue watching Season 22 of American Idol, even though she won’t be on it anymore. She said that the remaining singers are her friends and she is excited to see what they do in the remainder of the season.

Amanda Mograss Has Her Own Fanbase Already

Despite being cut from the competition, Amanda Mograss already has a substantial fanbase behind her. Fans showed her nothing but love in the comment section on Instagram.

“No matter what, be proud of yourself and don’t let anything take that away from you. These moments are just a small chapter in your story of what’s ahead of you. Keep givin’ them hell,” one person wrote. Another told her she should continue to be proud of herself in this moment.

Several people also took to Reddit to discuss her performance and show the singer support. One person wrote, “I’m pretty sure she got cut. I like the huskiness and rasp in her voice.”

Another viewer commented, “I’m 99% sure Amanda (the blue haired girl who messed up) is going home and it makes me sad as she’s one of the few singers who actually intrigued me/I think there could be something unique and different there. Almost all the other singers I feel like I’ve seen carbon copies of them elsewhere on Idol.”

“Still amazing to go as far as you did, and can always show your face again!! Keep rocking on 👏😁,” a third fan wrote.

Amanda Mograss wasn’t the only person who forgot the words to her song last night. Isabella Mercier also stumbled over the words in her piece and said, “I overthought what I was saying.”

New episodes of American Idol are airing on Sunday and Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
