Honey Boo Boo Begs For Money With $500K Net Worth?
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has gone viral on social media this week after asking her followers for donations to go toward her education. This comes after the revelation that her mom, June Shannon, stole money from her Coogan account. However, fans aren’t buying that Alana is as broke as she says she is. In fact, they believe it’s possible that she has a six-figure net worth. Keep reading to see how the numbers add up.
The Math Just Isn’t Mathing
One Reddit user took a moment to break down Alana’s earnings from her time on television. Here are the details.
From 2019 to August 2023, Honey Boo Boo reportedly made $320,000 from WeTV. In September 2023, she started to collect her own check from the network because she turned 18.
In March 2019, Mama June was arrested. Alana moved in with Pumpkin for a short period of time, but then moved in with Dralin around the time she turned 16. When Pumpkin started getting child support payments for Alana, she split them with her, which equated to about $400 per month.
When Honey Boo Boo was on Dancing With The Stars, June says that she put $30,000 of her earnings from the show into the Coogan account. That is around 20% of what she made on the show. June spent the other 80%. When she appeared on The Masked Singer Alana supposedly kept 70%. However, Mama June says that there is only $35K in the Coogan account.
The fan points out that Alana recently received $8,000+ on CashApp from followers, but has only made two payments toward her education. They also question how much Honey Boo Boo is earning from Sisters Closet and through other means. More importantly, how much is she spending?
She keeps 100% of her earnings from all of the endorsements she does. These make her between $1,000 and $5,000 a pop. “If Alana makes $ 15,000 or even 10,0000 a month and has $ 200,000 in savings, why would fans need to help her pay for college?” the person asked.
There were a few prior payments made before this month. The Reddit user alleged that Alana purposefully made those payments to try and “grift from fans.”

People can’t believe that Alana Thompson would stoop so low, especially with how she’s had to deal with her mother throughout her life.
“On Tik Tok Alana was told by fans I’m on a fixed income when my check comes in I’ll send you some $$. Who does that with $200,000plus in accounts In the bank?” one person commented. Another person wrote, “So, Alana is worth about a half a million dollars. Not exactly the broke college student that she’s trying to make herself out to be, eh?”
