Wendy Williams Has $500k Federal Lien On Her Penthouse

Wendy Williams can not catch a break. In addition to all of her health issues, her money problems keep getting worse. In addition to being left penniless by her court-appointed financial guardian, she also owes federal taxes. Because she owes the back taxes, the federal government has put a lien on her New York City penthouse.

All Of Her Health Issues

The truth about Wendy Williams and her health issues were brought into the spotlight after the documentary about her aired. Her fans were already aware of her autoimmune issues, but much more was revealed due to that documentary. As bad as her health was, sadly, it has only gotten worse.

In addition to her autoimmune issues, the former talk show host has aphasia. She was also diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. She had a brain scan during her stay at the rehab facility that revealed the former talk show host suffers from alcohol-related brain damage. This is due to her excessive use of alcohol.

Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter’s Divorce Re-Opened

In many ways, Wendy Williams can give credit or blame, depending on how she looks at it, to her ex-husband for all of her financial problems coming to light. Kevin Hunter, Williams’ former husband, was one of the first people to demand to see her financial records. He did this when the payments he had been getting stopped.

It was Sabrina Morrissey who stopped those payments. Morrissey is the financial guardian who the courts appointed to take care of Wendy Williams’ finances. Almost everyone who knows Wendy Williams believes Sabrina Morrissey has not been taking care of her finances. One friend as far as to share she believes Williams was being starved by Morrissey.

Wendy Williams’ NYC Penthouse Cleared Out

Due to the taxes Wendy Williams owes, her New York City penthouse has been completely cleared out. According to the federal government, she currently owes more than $568,400 in back taxes. It is difficult to imagine how this is possible, seeing she has had a court-appointed financial guardian for quite a while now. Someone who was truly looking out for Wendy Williams and her money would have made some sort of arrangements in order for the former talk show host to keep her home.

Nothing remains inside the penthouse other than a chandelier. The federal government seized everything in her penthouse. All of the furniture is gone. All of Wendy Williams’ clothing is gone. There is nothing left that would leave anyone a clue Wendy Williams had ever lived there.
