Was Kevin Hunter Jr. Taking Advantage Of His Mom?

In the Lifetime docuseries, Kevin Hunter Jr. opened up about the last time his mom visited Miami. Kevin’s cousin Travis Finnie also backed up claims that Kevin was not taking advantage of his mother. Despite spending $100K on food delivery apps like Uber Eats, Travis stated that the expenses were normal for the family.

“To put it into perspective, Kevin’s birthday party that his mom threw was $120,000,” he explained to the camera. “Kevin’s rent was $80,000. Kevin’s Uber Eats probably exceeded $100,000 that his mom approves.”

Wendy Williams’ Son Has A Completely Different Lifestyle Now

All of that came screeching to a halt when Wendy was placed under financial guardianship. After returning to New York and being placed under financial guardianship, Wendy Williams was placed in a medical facility and essentially cut off from her family.

Kevin Hunter Jr. claims that he does not know where his mom is located and various family members have confirmed that they don’t even know how to get ahold of her. She calls from a blocked number and they are patched into the call by her guardian.

Prior to her finances being turned over to a court-appointed guardian, Wendy supported her son financially. Now, Kevin Hunter Jr. is reportedly driving around Miami in an old 2019 Honda Civic and going to school. He is also apparently throwing parties in Miami to make extra cash.

Despite being financially cut off from his mom, she is still providing some support. According to court documents, Wendy Williams had a 529 Savings Plan set up for Kevin. This type of account allows you to withdraw for education-related expenses. So, he is able to use some of the funds from the 529 Plan to cover the cost of his education at Barry University.

Wendy Williams’ family is continuing to try to claim financial guardianship. A hearing is set for later this year.
