Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are facing legal troubles once again. The former couple’s home in Atlanta could be in danger of being foreclosed on once again. The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star says that it is all just a “misunderstanding,” but here is what is really going on.

Kim Zolciak Drastically Reduces Asking Price For Her Home

Legal docs obtained by People show that the lender, Truist, is giving Kim Zolciak and Troy Biermann until the end of this week to go back to court. If they don’t go to court regarding their home by May 3, they could possibly be served with a foreclosure.

The documents were filed on April 23. While this could mean bad news for the former couple, it doesn’t mean that they’ll be booted out of their house immediately. However, it could lead to some serious financial and legal implications for them.

Kim and Kroy put their home in Atlanta up for sale in October. The price of the mansion was reduced for the second time in January as the couple was in the middle of their difficult divorce.

They first listed the house for $6 million. By mid-December, they had reduced the price to $5.5 million and brought down the price tag even further in January to $4.5 million. Now, the Real Housewives Of Atlanta alum and her ex-husband are only requesting 75% of the original asking price.

The property is currently listed by Jenny Doyle of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. According to the listing information, it is located in Milton, Georgia, which is a suburb of Atlanta. The home sits on 1.78 acres and has seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. All of this sits inside a 15,694 sq. ft. mansion.

Not The First Time The RHOA Alum Has Face Foreclosure

This isn’t the first time that the ex-couple’s home was nearly placed in foreclosure. The RHOA star and her retired NFL husband’s house was nearly placed in foreclosure in February of last year. A notice at the time showed that Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann defaulted on a $1.65 million loan that they took out on the property. Truist Bank was going to auction it off on March 7, 2023, but the couple managed to save face.

At the time, Kim Zolciak was telling everyone that the foreclosure notice was a “misunderstanding” with the bank. A source told People, “She is telling everyone this is a misunderstanding and is being sorted out. She’s not moving.”

While that may have been true in early 2023, Kim is definitely hoping to sell her home and move out. Since her split from Kroy, the Real Housewives alum is trying to do anything she can to get her finances straight.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta is available to stream on Peacock.
