‘General Hospital’ Actress Robyn Bernard Dead At 64
Former General Hospital actress Robyn Bernard was found dead in San Jacinto, California. The actress was 64, and while there were no signs of foul play, investigators are still looking into her death. Here is what we know about the passing of the former soap opera star.
Robyn Bernard Found Dead In California
Robyn Bernard, who played Terry Brock on the long-running ABC soap opera General Hospital, is dead at 64. According to TMZ, police found her dead in the morning hours on March 12 in San Jacinto, California. Her identity was discovered after police ran her fingerprints.
It is unclear what happened or where she was actually found. In the reports, the police were called to an area south of a 7-Eleven gas station on Commonwealth and San Jacinto Ave and found the dead body there. Despite this, the police say they do not believe there was foul play. However, an autopsy is planned to be performed on Wednesday. The toxicology report will take several weeks.
Who Is Robyn Bernard on General Hospital?
Robyn Bernard was an actress born in Gladewater, Texas. She received her first breaks with small roles in TV shows. She appeared on shows like The Facts Of Life, Diva, Tour of Duty, and Simon & Simon. However, it was General Hospital that made her a star.
On General Hospital, Bernard played Terry Brock and she made her first appearance on the soap opera on September 3, 1984. She arrived in Port Charles and immediately set her eyes on Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner). Her father was D.L. Brock (David Groh). On the soap, D.L. married Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) but was abusive. Someone murdered him and Bobbie is a suspect, but it was actually Ginny Blake (Judith Chapman) who killed him.
After his death, Terry stuck around and ended up in a relationship with Kevin O’Connor (Kevin Bernhardt), whom she married. She ended up in a feud with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). Terry ended up framed for the murders of Sherrif Broder and Teds Holmes. However, she did kill her husband Kevin when she hit him with a rock, sending him falling over a cliff to his death.
After Kevin’s death, she started dating his brother Patrick (Guy Mack) and later Dusty Walker (Shaun Cassidy). She finally left Port Charles when her character received a music recording contract. Her final appearance on General Hospital was on March 7, 1990.
After leaving General Hospital, Robyn only had three other roles. She appeared in one episode of the TV series Maigret (1992), the movie Kings for a Day (1997), and her final role came in Voices from the High School (2002).
