Michael Strahan’s Daughter Isabella Reveals Shocking Emergency Surgery
Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella has been keeping fans updated with her cancer battle. She has a YouTube channel where she started to document her fight with the deadly disease and just shared some scary news with fans. Isabella just had to have emergency surgery.

Michael Strahan’s Daughter Needed Emergency Surgery
Isabella Strahan, 19, has been keeping fans updated on her cancer battle on YouTube. Ever since Michael Strahan announced that his daughter was battling brain cancer, fans have been paying close attention and sending her love and well wishes. Isabella was a college freshman when she learned she had cancer and has been in and out of the hospital ever since.
In some scary recent news, Isabella revealed to fans that she had to have emergency surgery. This happened after two surprise visits to the ER. Isabella said she has been suffering from “a lot of fevers” recently and said that if she is over 100.4, you need to go to the hospital. She spent three days in the hospital getting an MRI and blood transfusion. They then discharged her.
However, Isabella said she was back in the hospital 12 hours later. She joked that she “catfished everyone” and had a 102 fever and needed to figure out what was wrong. She said no one knew what was going on. However, soon the hospital figured things out and she had to have emergency surgery to “drain fluid from the back of my head.”
She then said that she would be under anesthesia and they would stick a needle in her head and drain the fluid out. “Not what I planned to do because I didn’t plan on coming back to the hospital,” Isabella said.
Isabella Straham Updates Fans Following Surgery.
While this was scary for Isabella and Michael Strahan, it seems that the original surgery went well, but she isn’t out of the woods yet. After the surgery to drain the fluid from her head, Isabella said she had a “2nd craniotomy.”
She said this means they are cutting open the scar from her first surgery. The last time they cut it open was in October 2023. Isabella said they would clean it and maybe take the bone out or put a plate in there, although she wasn’t sure about this part of the procedure. She said there was already a plate in there, but she didn’t know and couldn’t feel it.
With that in mind, Isabella said she is more nervous about this surgery than the first one last October. She said she knows it is not her brain that will be messed with in this surgery, but she is worried about what recovery will look like.
After the surgery, she said that they completely took out the bone and cleaned it out from infection. They replaced the bone with a titanium plate, but she said she hoped this was what was causing the fever she was having and it would solve that problem now. She also said that she was in a lot of pain, and it is clear from her vlog that she is both scared and hurting a lot.
