Michael Strahan Daughter Gives Sad Update During Cancer Battle
Michael Strahan has been missing from Good Morning America a great deal over the last month. However, there is a good reason as his daughter Isabella has been undergoing chemo treatments after learning she has cancer. The college freshman has kept fans updated on her progress during this battle.
In her most recent update, Isabella had some heartbreaking news for her fans.
Isabella Strahan Cancer Update
Michael Strahan’s daughter, Isabella Strahan, is 19 and was starting college as a freshman when she began to experience headaches and nausea, and she couldn’t walk straight. When she went in and got checked out, doctors revealed she had medulloblastoma, a common malignant tumor that arises in the cerebellum, a part of the brain located at the base of the skull.
Isabella started chemotherapy and Michael Strahan took time off from Good Morning America to be by his daughter’s side. Isabella announced to the world on GMA what was happening and she explained the tumor and the treatments she was undergoing. She has since kept fans updated with a vlog that is posted regularly on YouTube.
The most recent vlog was her eighth and shared some sad news about her recovery from chemotherapy. In the vlog, she said that she, at times, feels like she is “having a heart attack.” She also shared some of her fears about chemo and what has her stressed out.
“I think it just stresses me out because so much could go wrong, I feel,” Isabella said. “Oh no, my heart hurts. That could mean I’m having a heart attack, or, like, my eye is strained. What if my eyes stop working?”
When Is Michael Strahan Coming Back To Good Morning America?
Michael Strahan has taken time off from his role on Good Morning America. He clearly is putting his family first and is there for his daughter. Isabella also has a twin sister, and she likely needs her dad as much as her sister does at this time. With that in mind, GMA is something that will have to wait.
Strahan has shown up randomly on Good Morning America, and that is likely to continue as long as his daughters need their dad by their side. Michael has gotten his daughter the new Vision Pro headset from Apple, which hopefully gives her something to get her mind temporarily off her medical issues.
Michael Strahan is not talking about his absence. It is obvious the reasons, but his only concern is his daughter right now and not the public missing seeing him on TV every day.

As my mom told me when she was waiting for her lung transplant. Mom, my brother and I did the leg work and left the rest up to God. God will take care of you. I pray that Isabella is able to beat her brain cancer. I am 7 years out from my brain surgery and chemo from Glioblastoma. It’s a hard road at first but if you can get through the treatment stage you’re on your way to recovery. Hang in there. You’re fortunate to have so many on your team praying and rooting for you girl.
