Amid her ongoing battle with a brain tumor, Isabella Strahan has been recently hospitalized with a fever that “comes and goes.”

On January 11, Isabella joined her father, Michael Strahan, on Good Morning America to first announce her battle with a malignant tumor. Isabella revealed that she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in October 2023. On October 27, just one day before her 19th birthday, she underwent a procedure to remove a 4-centimeter cancerous mass from her brain. “It’s been, like, two months of keeping it quiet, which is definitely difficult,” Isabella Strahan said. “I don’t wanna hide it anymore ‘cause it’s hard to always keep in.”

During the February 21 episode of GMA, Michael Strahan announced that his daughter is now back in the hospital.

Isabella Strahan Hospitalized With Fever Following Chemo

Since publicly revealing her cancer diagnosis last month, Isabella Strahan has regularly shared her journey across social media. She has uploaded nine Vlogs to YouTube detailing her hospital appointments and spreading awareness of Medulloblastoma.

After filling GMA fans in on the progress that Isabella has made throughout her chemotherapy, Michael offered an update on his daughter. “The last three days have been a little rough because she had a fever that kind of comes and goes,” Michael said.

Michael further explained their original thought process when taking her to the hospital. “I had to take her to the hospital and thought she’d come home a few hours later,” Michael revealed. “She said ‘I thought I was going to be here for two hours.’ Well, it’s been three days. Hopefully, she’ll be home today.”

Michael Strahan Is The ‘Luckiest Man In The World’

During Isabella’s initial announcement, Michael reflected on his daughter’s strength. “I literally think that, in a lot of ways, I’m the luckiest man in the world. Because I’ve got an amazing daughter,” Michael said in the interview with his fellow GMA co-anchor Robin Roberts. “I know she’s going through it, but I know that we’re never given more than we can handle and that she is going to crush this.”

As Isabella explained her current prognosis, she couldn’t help but feel optimistic about her future. “I’m feeling good. Not too bad,” said Isabella. “That’s my next step. I’m ready for it to start and be one day closer to being over. I’m very excited for this whole process to wrap. But you just have to keep living every day, I think, through the whole thing.”

While standing by his daughter’s side throughout her battle with cancer, Michael acknowledged a new outlook on life. “You learn that you’re probably not as strong as you thought you were when you have to really think about the real things. And I realized that I need support from everybody,” Michael said on GMA. “You think, ‘I’m the athlete, the tough guy, you know, I can come and handle. I’m the father in the family.’ It is not about any of that. It doesn’t matter. And it’s really made me change my perspective on so many things in my life.”
