Is Olivia Plath Leaving ‘Welcome To Plathville’?
Olivia Plath and Ethan separated and their divorce is well under way. Naturally, Welcome to Plathville fans wonder if she returns for Season 6 of the TLC show. And if she does, why would she? Well, the answer might surprise you. Notably, the show has not yet been announced as renewed. Most people believe it returns as there are many stories to tell.
Olivia Plath Moved To LA After Separation From Ethan
TLC fans heard that Ethan Plath’s ex left Minneapolis, Minnesota after they split, and in Los Angeles, she claims to have found some peace. TLC fans know that life with the Plath family seemed more complicated than it needed to be. Of course, a lot of critics blame her for all the drama in the family, but many people feel that the whole family seems dysfunctional.
Olivia Plath told Ryan Bailey in the So Bad It’s Good podcast that being in front of the cameras wasn’t easy, and she described her situation as “fight or flight.” In that case, why would she want more of it? Actually, many Welcome to Plathville fans think that the best thing she could do is to walk away. Well, it seems that the TLC star has two reasons for wanting to return.
Kim Plath Is One Reason For A Return
It’s no secret that Kim Plath and her former daughter-in-law despise each other with deep intensity. She suggested that Ethan’s wife was possessed. Meanwhile, Olivia dissed her controlling ways and called her out over the misuse of funds. So, she wants to be in the Welcome to Plathville show again simply to annoy Ethan’s mom. Distractify cited her as saying:
“I’m a petty b—h. I know that [Kim] thought that I wouldn’t be a part of Plathville anymore when Ethan and I got divorced and I know that she’s disappointed… I’m just reveling in that a tiny bit.”
Olivia Plath also claimed in her interview, that “…if you’re going to idolize a lifestyle that promotes the dysfunction that we see, then you have to show the flip side.” Is she bringing the flip side? Perhaps she sees herself as some sort of Jill Duggar who outed her upbringing in her book, “Counting the Cost.” Team Kim can’t stand Ethan’s ex, but she helped to create the show. Why should Kim get to take the cake to the bank and eat it as well?
