Before Katie Thurston gained stardom on Season 25 of The Bachelor, she worked in banking. Her time with Matt James was reality TV gold. She was asked to be The Bachelorette and never looked back at her old career.

After ending her engagement to Blake Moynes, Katie went on to look for love on FBoy Island. She also made an appearance on Bachelor In Paradise to host a comedy roast.

The reality TV star is trying to make a name for herself as a comedian. She’s had multiple stand-up shows. Katie just made a huge move to advance her comedy career. Katie Thurston Details Scary Apartment Fire

Katie Thurston took to her Instagram to share a scary situation that happened in her new apartment. There was a small fire that could have been much, much worse. Luckily, Katie was home at the time and was able to contain the fire after the smoke detectors went off. What happened?

According to Katie, she had a bunch of junk drawer items, like batteries, thumbtacks, and small tools, stored in a bag. Somehow the items together generated enough heat to ignite and start a fire.

Katie Thurston assured fans that all was well but admitted to still being in shock over the frightening situation. Long-time followers of Katie will be happy to know that her beloved cat, Tommy, wasn’t hurt.

Warns Fans Of Dangers

However, there was damage to her clothes and the walls of her apartment from the smoke. The Bachelorette star asked her followers for advice about how to clean her smoke-damaged clothing.

She shared a glimpse of the plastic bag and burnt carpet. Katie warned her fans about storing batteries properly so they don’t catch fire. The situation could have been much worse!
