‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Accuse Show Of Cheating Contestants

Wheel Of Fortune fans think that the show’s puzzles have become too hard to solve in recent weeks. Viewers have been sounding off about disappointing losses on the popular game show. However, fans are now accusing the show of cheating contestants out of their winnings. Continue reading to see what has led to these accusations and if there is any truth to them.

Wheel Of Fortune Serves Up Another Impossible Puzzle

Of course, the puzzles on Wheel Of Fortune aren’t meant to be easy, but fans have felt that they’ve become too hard recently. They have taken to social media during recent episodes to air their grievances about seemingly impossible answers.

Many people sounded off following a recent episode, which featured a contestant named Jason. He attempted to solve a puzzle in the “Thing” category. In addition to R, S, T, L, N, and E, his guesses only added F to the board. He was left with “A / F_N / N E _ / _ _ _ _ _.”

Despite his chances of solving being slim, Pat Sajak wished Jason the best of luck as the clock started counting down. With no letters to give him a clue as to what the last word may be, Jason started to make random guesses in an attempt to solve the puzzle. Unfortunately, the timer ran out before he came up with the correct answer.

As it turns out, the “Thing” was “A Fun New Hobby.” His loss cost him $40,000, but Jason still left with over $22K in his pocket.

Fans Speak Out About Difficult Puzzles

Many people watched Jason’s bonus round live as well as on YouTube. People began to comment regarding the difficulty of recent puzzles.

“That was impossible with his letters,” one viewer wrote. “One thing I’m learning watching these is B is often a good choice.” Another person commented, “You guys are definitely in budget mode,” suggesting that Wheel Of Fortune has made bonus round puzzles harder so they don’t have to pay out. A third viewer stated that the amount of time to solve the puzzle could have made a difference.

As regular viewers may know, this is the second time in recent history that Wheel Of Fortune viewers have voiced their opinions on the difficulty of the bonus round puzzle.

Another puzzle in February had viewers hopping on social media to gripe about “impossible” word combinations. During Sweethearts Week, one couple lost out on $40,000 after failing to complete a puzzle in the “Place” category.

The answer wound up being “Outer Lobby” and many people were left questioning “What is an outer lobby?” Most puzzles are words that are commonly used together, so viewers sounded off about how the answer didn’t seem like a phrase they’d ever heard before.
